This stand-alone, full length, dark mafia romance is a thrilling genre bending tale by the incredibly talented BB Easton. Told in dual POV this is a story that’s both unique and unforgettable. Gritty and gripping to its very core it will gut you. There is violence, darkness, suspense, beautiful Irish setting, and a mystical feel to it with some old Irish folklore. I wasn’t even sure quite what I was expecting going in but I can tell you whatever it was this book by far surpassed it, AND MORE. This book was everything I was looking for to break up the lighter sports romances, and romcoms I have been reading of late. Not that I don’t enjoy them, I do. Although Intensely connected from the beginning, the summer visits come to a stop after a few years. After that these two both underwent some tragic and horrific things which had significant impacts on the people they became as adults.
When life brings them back into each other’s lives it is a crazy emotional ride. I loved these character’s. Their complexities, the depth to them. The things they went through, my god. It was raw and smacked you with blunt force. This book was dark mafia deliciousness and made me gasp as much as my heart raced. I was breathless with anticipation and then my heart melted over these characters. While the journey was not always pretty, that was for sure. It was necessary for them to go through it all to end up right where they did. And that my friends was where they were always meant to be. 🥰

I can not get enough of this series. These Wyncote Wolves are everything. My hubby was never into hockey but boy do they have me wishing he was. Lol It’s just so aggressive and testosterone filled and HOTT!! Good GAH! What a great group of guys too. They are just amazingly written characters and I want ALL of their stories. So far in each book we get enough snippets of the ones with stories to come to be intrigued and anticipating the days until we get them. I love that they are all so aggressive and alpha when they need to be. I find myself binging hockey teams on TikTok and picking out I think who would be my who.
Deflected Hearts is told in dual POV ( my personal favorite) and is the second standalone book in the Wyncote Wolves series. I am in love with how Cali Melle’s writing just sucks you right into the story and I cannot get enough of her panty melting, heart stealing heroes and the strong willed and sassy heroines that bring these men to their knees. While you don’t have to read Cross Checked Hearts before reading this book I would definitely recommend checking out Logan and Isla’s story. It is a fantastic brother’s best friend’s romance as Isla is August’s sister and Logan is his best friend.

She is a must read everything she writes, plus owns every ebook, and signed paperbacks too. It doesn’t matter the genre or trope I know going in that with this author’s work I’m in for a story that will be profound and positively unforgettable. A story that is sure to weave itself through my mind, heart and soul and leave a little piece of itself behind. A story I felt so deeply that I will think back on it for years to come. As I still do with pretty much all of her books I have read thus far. (I will go to my death bed still feeling Taking Chances)
Trust me when I tell you Fame is a story like no other. Jensen and Mia are two imperfect humans who just happen to be perfect for each other. Bringing you the best by giving you a little taste of everything, this sinful and sexy romance is slap full of secrets, lies and mystery. Not skimping on the angst, steam, banter, tension, and a good ‘ol swoony and southern, Georgia bred country boy to come in and make everything all better (this Georgia girl might be biased but there’s nothing hotter than a GA boy) I promise this book has something for every reader. It will captivate you from paragraph one until the very last sentence. Not just a book but an unputdownable journey to unite two amazingly unique and inspiring characters who against any obstacles that may come between them truly belong together. But what to do when love is inevitable between two people and one is dang near ready to sprint in the opposite direction away from it? Will love bring them together or will Fame tear them apart?
Mia is really a special character. She is one of the most unselfish of heroines I have ever had the pleasure of reading, yet her circumstances broke my heart over and over again. Her strength and dedication to her family was commendable. How could you not fall in love with her story? This amazing woman who sacrificially suffered for those she loved most in the world. It was devastating and inspiring at the same time. The internal conflicts are gut-wrenching. But I was so immersed in this story I really felt her struggle and found myself battling the what would I do in real life?
I think her battles with the life she was forced into and its impact on her character as a person just made me love her more. She was a deeply loving character but as much love as she had for others she didn’t have it for herself. I wanted to be able to jump into the book and just hug her and tell her I see you. You are beautiful and I see you for who you are. I see you for why and not what you have to do. She was existing, getting by and surviving. But she wasn’t living. She wasn’t enjoying her life. Until she met Jensen. He brought life back into her. He made her feel things no one ever had. It put the carefully crafted walls she’d put up to hide her secrets behind at risk of crumbling down around her. But for the first time she began to think she finally found someone who might be worth the risk. But there is still so much he doesn’t know about her. What will happen when the truth comes to light?

Jensen is deliciously swoony and without a doubt book HUSBAND material. I say husband because this man is better than a book boyfriend. Boy oh boy was he ever hot and so dreamy too y’all.

He certainly wasn’t looking for a relationship, but he was instantly drawn to the beautiful yet emotionally barricaded girl from the third floor of his new office building. Quickly he finds himself unable to resist the need to get to know and win this woman over. He knows it will be no easy feat but not one to give up; he sets out to win her over. He’s just so stinking sweet. He is caring and thoughtful. Successful but humble. Supportive and protective. Loving and kind. Gah! The way he was with her melted me into a puddle of goo y’all! I was a pile of jelly for Jensen. I could go on about him FOREVER!

In closing let me just say this book will tug on your heart strings. It will move you. You will laugh, and cry. You will fan yourself, get frustrated, cry again, and swoon so hard. You will fall so hard for all these characters (old and new). The writing is so engaging you feel like one of the gang, a part of the story. So vividly you feel like you share in the outrage, the excitement, the urge to smack a fool upside the back of his head and tell him to get it together. Mostly I just wanna see everyone get all the goodness life has to offer. But alas, I cannot actually be a part of the story and that is just the mark of a truly talented author, the fact that they make you forget that you aren’t. This author does this to me. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!

The love story between Wren Beaumont and Crew Lancaster is the perfect blend of a little angst, a little bully, a lot unexpected. With plenty of sweet, swoony and sexy with a beautiful poignance and magical wonder.
Like that of first love and self discovery but also with a fun, flirty and almost dare I say…slightly fairytale-like (at times) feel to it because of the elite world our characters are brought up in and the surprisingly sweet and thoughtful ways in which we see our young Crew trying to romance Wren. It makes him seem older, yet still appearing the young and playful highschool senior he is.
This is such a sweet love story and a great story of character growth. Wren has such a sense of self worth and high expectations for herself. I love that even when she grows closer to Crew he does not change those things about her but is a source of encouragement for her. While she feels the pressures from society, her family, from friends, she has a very strong sense of self awareness and will do what SHE feels is best for her in the end.
With Crew we see her bring the more serious side out of this campus king, the playboy. When that happens he is truly dream book boyfriend goals for sure. He was the perfect pairing for Wren as he brings out some sass and feistiness in her where she never used to have any bite and would just take everything others would say to her. I absolutely loved their banter back and forth.
Crew at first comes across as arrogant and seems as though he can have anyone he wants and maybe Wren would be just a challenge for him but it is super clear from early on that it’s so much more for him. The little things he does for his “Birdy”, the ways he goes about getting to know her, and finding out what is important to her. It legit melted this gals heart. SWOON Y’all!! 🥰

Frustratingly Fantastic, Tantalizingly Torturous, and Heartbreaking as much as was heart-healing, this conclusion to Olly and Frankie’s story was unputdownable, and unforgettable. An unbelievable mix of angst and agony to my heart, but one that I would willingly subject myself to over and over again. The story that started unfolding by dropping little hints from the very beginning of The Boys of Clermont Bay series, showed us that something was always there between Olly and Frankie. Those little nuggets Holly Renee had been planting had me jonesing (and not always so patiently) for their time to tell their story and let me tell y’all. It.Was.So.Worth.The.Wait.
I spent a big portion of this book torn between wanting to climb inside my kindle and smack Olly and Frankie upside the heads and knocking some sense into them-and then the other parts enabling every ounce of restraint I possessed to ensure I didn’t chuck my kindle at the wall out of frustration, because they spent so much time apart.Time that maybe they shouldn’t have had to. If only…
But truly in their times apart they both grew and learned things in their own way. They had different views on what they were and what they could become. They both grew and matured on their own, but in totally different ways. Frankie had realized what she truly deserves in her life and that was the only thing she was going to settle for going forward in her life. Olly finally realized what he needed to do to be the man Frankie deserves and prioritized his life accordingly.
While it was gut wrenching for these two characters as well as it was for me being so invested in their journey, I knew it was essential that they traveled those bumps and turns along the way to get to the place where they were truly meant to be. And that place was PERFECT!!
I can’t say enough about not only this duet but this entire series. If you haven’t started it, there is no better day that TODAY!! If you have been following all along then grab this phenomenal conclusion that was years in the making. Pour you some wine, 🍷 grab a bar of dark chocolate, 🍫 and a box tissues and get ready for an emotionally beautiful read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

CoraLee has masterfully wrapped up the Malice Mafia trilogy in a way that will gut you, consume you, devastate you, frustrate you, but one hundred percent leave you feeling utterly fulfilled. This final installment will get you so far up in your feelings, y’all get ready. 😭🥺😭 The devastation this book delivers dang near killed me. Prepare yourself to see these characters undergo so much growth. We legit see completely different and better ( who would have thought they could get more awesome??) sides to them. Such darkness we saw from them in the past two books gives way to some light and softer sides we hadn’t seen from them before. 🥰
Nick “Malice” Civella is unexpectedly willing to give up everything for his Juliet. Pride and competitive drive to beat his big brother just might cost William everything, and Anthony the unpredictable psychopath who has completely stolen our hearts will be the glue that holds everyone together with his loyalty and comedic relief. But the biggest transformation is from Juliet. This gal will show you just how strong she truly is and will put those Civella boys in their place. 💪🏻They will learn to put up or shut up when she lays down what she will take and what she will not. I loved to see this side of her. She is most def the queen boss now. 👑
This entire book had me hooked. I was already addicted to the guys, Juliet and Grams before but now it’s on a whole other level. I laughed and I cried. I got angry at times and the angst about did me in. But this book hurt my heart as much as it healed it. I got the exact closure I needed. If I could have special ordered exactly what I wanted in the wrap up for this series it would be exactly what CoraLee delivered. Actually that’s not true. CoraLee gave me things I didn’t even know I needed and more. There was absolutely some super devastation in this story as well, but I’m not mad. I think for these characters to end up where they were destined to go we had to endure the heartbreaking parts of their journey too.
Full of suspense, surprises, fighting and gore, sinful deliciousness, and unpredicted softer and sweeter moments out of our irredeemably redeemed Civella men. Grudge will close this series in the most extraordinary of ways. The engaging and phenomenally gifted writing by CoraLee June will keep you entranced from beginning to the very end, where you will sigh, cry and reluctantly let these characters go. Then you will be left feening for the next book by CoraLee, which can’t come soon enough for me. All the stars in the galaxy for Grudge. ⭐️✨💫⭐️✨💫⭐️✨💫⭐️✨💫⭐️✨💫⭐️✨💫
