My Review

My friends, FAME is FANTASTICALLY FABULOUS!! It’s MAGICALLY MARVELOUS!! I’m gonna calm down and stop yelling at you in shouty CAPS. 

But in all seriousness this book y’all. Molly McAdams once again proves why she is one of my absolute favorite authors. She is a must read everything she writes, plus owns every ebook, and signed paperbacks too. It doesn’t matter the genre or trope I know going in that with this author’s work I’m in for a story that will be profound and positively unforgettable. A story that is sure to weave itself through my mind, heart and soul and leave a little piece of itself behind. A story I felt so deeply that I will think back on it for years to come. As I still do with pretty much all of her books I have read thus far. (I will go to my death bed still feeling Taking Chances)

Trust me when I tell you Fame is a story like no other. Jensen and Mia are two imperfect humans who just happen to be perfect for each other. Bringing you the best by giving you a little taste of everything, this sinful and sexy romance is slap full of secrets, lies and mystery. Not skimping on the angst, steam, banter, tension, and a good ‘ol swoony and southern, Georgia bred country boy to come in and make everything all better  (this Georgia girl might be biased but there’s nothing hotter than a GA boy) I promise this book has something for every reader. It will captivate you from paragraph one until the very last sentence. Not just a book but an unputdownable journey to unite two amazingly unique and inspiring characters who against any obstacles that may come between them truly belong together. But what to do when love is inevitable between two people and one is dang near ready to sprint in the opposite direction away from it?  Will love bring them together or will Fame tear them apart? 

Mia is really a special character. She is one of the most unselfish of heroines I have ever had the pleasure of reading, yet her circumstances broke my heart over and over again. Her strength and dedication to her family was commendable. How could you not fall in love with her story? This amazing woman who sacrificially suffered for those she loved most in the world. It was devastating and inspiring at the same time. The internal conflicts are gut-wrenching. But I was so immersed in this story I really felt her struggle and found myself battling the what would I do in real life?

I think her battles with the life she was forced into and its impact on her character as a person just made me love her more. She was a deeply loving character but as much love as she had for others she didn’t have it for herself. I wanted to be able to jump into the book and just hug her and tell her I see you. You are beautiful and I see you for who you are. I see you for why and not what you have to do. She was existing, getting by and surviving. But she wasn’t living. She wasn’t enjoying her life. Until she met Jensen. He brought life back into her. He made her feel things no one ever had. It put the carefully crafted walls she’d put up to hide her secrets behind at risk of crumbling down around her. But for the first time she began to think she finally found someone who might be worth the risk. But there is still so much he doesn’t know about her. What will happen when the truth comes to light?

“You don’t know what my greatest joy is or the worst moments of my life. You don’t know what I’ve done to survive.”

Jensen is deliciously swoony and without a doubt book HUSBAND material. I say husband because this man is better than a book boyfriend. Boy oh boy was he ever hot and so dreamy too y’all. 

He had been burned in the past and that had an impact on him. He certainly wasn’t looking for a relationship, but he was instantly drawn to the beautiful yet emotionally barricaded girl from the third floor of his new office building. Quickly he finds himself unable to resist the need to get to know and win this woman over. He knows it will be no easy feat but not one to give up; he sets out to win her over. He’s just so stinking sweet. He is caring and thoughtful. Successful but humble. Supportive and protective. Loving and kind. Gah! The way he was with her melted me into a puddle of goo y’all! I was a pile of jelly for Jensen. I could go on about him FOREVER! 

None of that matters because I hear you in songs. I see you when I close my eyes. I feel you in my veins.”

In closing let me just say this book will tug on your heart strings. It will move you. You will laugh, and cry. You will fan yourself, get frustrated, cry again, and swoon so hard. You will fall so hard for all these characters (old and new). The writing is so engaging you feel like one of the gang, a part of the story.  So vividly you feel like you share in the outrage, the excitement, the urge to smack a fool upside the back of his head and tell him to get it together.  Mostly I just wanna see everyone get all the goodness life has to offer.  But alas, I cannot actually be a part of the story and that is just the mark of a truly talented author, the fact that they make you forget that you aren’t. This author does this to me. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! 

Jensen and Mia’s breathtakingly remarkable journey is not one to be missed. It is the final standalone (with crossover characters) in the Secrets in L.A. series and told in dual POV. You can read the entire series for FREE in Kindle Unlimited. My Review

I will be honest my friends. I went into this book excitedly terrified. Lol Let me explain.  I  had been anticipating this book so much because I’m SO in LOVE with this series. But here I was thinking from the little we have seen of him in the previous books that the only redeeming quality that Beau Dixon possesses is…well at first wasn’t sure that he had many. However Molly wrote this so I decided to truck along with trust, she would probably end up changing my mind in the end. So I belly flopped into the deep end kinda thinking “what am I gonna do? I like Beau Dixon SO much less than his brothers. Now his brothers… THEY stole my heart.” Wait I’m getting off track here. Any hoo…There I was thinking the only redeeming thing about him was his unbreakable devotion to his wife, sweet Savannah Dixon, or so it seemed. So I started out with an “ I just don’t know about that Beau” attitude. So the question is can Molly turn the angry, fight startin’ Beau into the most desirable Dixon?”

HOLY HELL YES  SHE DID!! Molly McAdams made me fall irrevocably in love with Beau Dixon and his journey towards forgiveness and redemption. In my many clouds of tears while reading this book my mind was forever changed. Maybe because out of all the Dixon boys he had to fight the hardest for his redemption,  or maybe because of all the Dixon boys his self loathing is at an all time high, not really sure. But I know for CERTAIN there was a particular moment, my eyes overflowing with tears, my heart devastated, I realized that for one hundred and fifty percent certainty Beau would be the Dixon that broke me and that somehow Beau Dixon had the strongest hold on my heart out of all those delicious Dixon boys. Everything about this broody and angry and aggressive man is devilishly sexy. He makes me sad while I yearned for his happiness,  he melts my heart with the way he looks at his wife, and he definitely makes my heart flutter. The determination of this hardworking man on a mission to get back what he once had melts me like butter on a biscuit. My heart almost can’t take how he has never truly had anyone in his corner like Savannah. So for all those reasons he OWNS my heart. I’m claiming him. I have it bad for misunderstood men. ( They are my favorites so it’s not surprising)

“I know she deserves someone better than me—I’ve tried to get her to realize that. But I’ll always try to be the guy she deserves.”

He has the worst rap y’all! From childhood he was the angry turd adults had washed their hands of. Even his parents were at their wits end. Then in walks the new neighbors with their little girl Savannah and his life would never be the same. 

Savannah Riley Dixon. Sweet, sassy, loyal and she saw something in Beau DIxon the moment she first saw him. She was this precious girl who saw the potential in Beau that know one else had ever taken the time to see.  She was the balm to every ailment that burns him, everything that sets him ablaze. He’s the fire and she’s the ice. She’s calm and he’s the storm. She saw something in him and from the first glance he was hers and she was his, and my heart was a puddle of goo on the floor. 

“He doesn’t need to be fixed or changed or-or-or . . . anything. He’s fine. He’s perfect,…”

There is so much more to him than the sexy ball of anger that people think he is and I can’t wait for you all to read this book and fall in love with the complexity of this character. To fall in love with this big bearded burly man that melts at the sight of his wife and their babies. To look deep into your own heart and try to understand what years of feeling like nothing short of a bomb with an extra short fuse feels like. To not understand why you feel this way but to be so thankful god sent you an angel like your wife because she keeps you in check. But they are married and have kids now. When she told him no more fighting or she was done, she meant it! 

“That girl is the answer to my fucked-up soul. She’s my everything…”

I can’t imagine the fear Beau lived in knowing what he could lose at any given moment. That’s the power secrets wield over us, and Beau knew he never deserved any of his blessings anyway.  At the start I thought he was a jerk, an angry jerk but as we get to know throughout the chapters my heart thawed. SO. HARD! He is so misunderstood. This man has spent his life feeling so angry, broken and hated and like he would never amount to anything. Like he was so unworthy. I feel like there was such character transformation in this book. I really felt like both Beau and Savannah grew so much as individuals and as a couple. Holy Geeze are they ever hot too!! 🔥🔥 

I loved that this book was told in dual POV and told in flashbacks from past to present. We got to read Beau’s journey, his journey of how he crawled, kicked, scratched and clawed his way to become the hardworking man he is. To earn the respect of his enlaws and his mother. But when secrets long buried come and Savannah and Beau’s world implodes will they be able to overcome these obstacles or will their beautiful life go up in flames.

I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to end the final book in the Brewed series. This entire series was amazing. So full of drama, angst, emotionally riveting storytelling that will have you crying all the tears, celebrating the triumphs, and living for every sweet, sexy and swoon worthy moment. This entire series is a MUST READ!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I NEED MORE STARS!! LOL If Molly McAdams writes it, you can guaran-dang-tee I am gonna read, actually devour it. Her writing always amazes me with so much heart and fearlessness. She isn’t afraid to hurt you, to break your heart before she fixes it better. Even those times when we are crushed for our characters I know it’s necessary for their journey. She makes us love them that much. When they hurt, we hurt. That is the mark of her incredible talent. I know with Molly’s books we are guaranteed to get a deliciously dirty and sexy story filled with heat, witty banter, and even the unexpected. Fire was riveting and emotionally gripping and it was just phenomenal. ( be prepared to need tissues though) This book, this entire series will still be with me long after I finished the last page and I would not be surprised if I’m still feeling it months later.) I can’t say enough good things about this series!! YOU WILL SEE!!

🔥🔥🔥🔥-This was beyond all kinda hot. I loved getting the clash of the past and present. Reading about the overwhelming lust bombs from their younger days makes you nostalgic about how hot you were when you first started out. That chemistry is explosive. Then how it matures as you grow into a mature married couple. What I like to call Smokin’ sweet!   🔥🔥

🌪Cliffhanger Warning-🌪🌪No Cliffhanger! This was super emotional, I cried so many times because I loved these characters and felt all the feelings right along with them, but I was so happy with how this ended and I am only sorry to see the series end! #HappyEnding!😍

My Review

Goodness gracious. YES!! Molly McAdams is my unicorn, y’all! Like I literally drop all adulting when one of her books shows up on my kindle and become devoted to that book until I have devoured it. I love her writing style. It’s like she just gets me! Like she just knows everything I need at this moment in my life and delivers it via book! She has pretty much done this to me with Every.Single.Dang.Book.She.Has.Written! I always struggle with how in the world am I supposed to move on from one of her books. They are that good. I know I’m gonna linger on it for days. Still thinking about it. It’s a guarantee I’m gonna cry, laugh, and definitely swoon. I know I’m gonna fan myself because they are so freakin hot.🔥 I’m also gonna wanna chuck my kindle at the wall out of absolute frustration, and raise my fist in the air and holler a big ol’ southern “hell yea!”  a few times too. So yeah, I admit…I’m hooked on Molly. Lol

Hunter, sweet and sexy, Dixon is our hero in Glow. The strong one that picked up the pieces, jumping in to save the family’s ranch after the death of their father. Doing so while he was struggling, nursing a devastating broken heart. Ladies, this boy had so many burdens bearing down on his shoulders. But he gave up everything and handled it all the best way he knew how. He made my heart break and flutter and melted my underoos all at the same time. 

Think about losing the future you had planned for, and all he’d ever planned for was a future with his first love, Madison. Then she up and  left with no warning. Tack on then losing your father and finding out things weren’t at all what you thought. Wow, those  are some pretty hard pills to swallow. I’m being vague, this I know. But I don’t want to give anything away. Trust me you want to go in blind it’s better. I loved how his character took the crap life threw his way. Things that would break most made him stronger. He found companionship without commitment and managed to get by for years. Even if there were moments he was doing something that wasn’t necessarily a reflection of the nice guy he was, he wasn’t doing it on purpose. He never set out to hurt anyone.

But when his past comes back threatening to tear apart a future he’d just realized he’d started to build for himself, will he be able to handle it?  He was a good man, a good brother and a great boss. Up to this point in his life his heart had only belonged to one person… as far as his “arrangement” all feelings were on the same page,  or so he’d thought.

Madison Black loved Hunter all through school. He was it for her. She was beautiful and sweet and they were the perfect high school sweethearts, everyone just knew they would end up married and having babies one day. Especially Madison. When she up and leaves him breaking not only his heart but her own only to return more than a decade later will he ever forgive her? Will he understand why she lector while she ever tell him the truth behind why she left?  Is it possible that he feels even a fraction of the love for her that was once there? 

Y’all this book is such an emotional rollercoaster. I was devastated over and over for everyone involved. As the story unfolds and secrets are revealed it broke me. Piece by piece I shattered along with these beautiful characters. They were amazing and complex and flawed. They were truly hurt by each other. These emotions were real and they struggled to come to grips with the hurt they caused. There were some big secrets in here and they had the ability to hurt and hurt lots of people BIG!  I cried so hard, like ugly cried, y’all. It was raw and visceral. This was such a true and believable story. When the truth of what really happened came to light I was praying they could get past it. I knew it would be the most devastating of blows. 

But I also knew that this couple was inevitably supposed to be together and that if any couple could overcome odds such as these it would be Hunter and Madison.  If you love reading about a love that spans years, and forgiveness strong enough to overcome even the most painful of hurdles. Then please grab a box of tissues, a  bottle of wine and a bag of chocolates, and curl up under a warm blanket. You are in for an amazing book journey.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I love Molly McAdams writing. It is always riveting, poignant and emotionally gripping. I know that without a doubt any book of hers I read I am going to get hit all up in my feelings. She never fails to deliver perfectly rounded literary masterpieces. I instantly fall in love with the witty banter, emotions, and heat. I always get everything I could possibly want and much more that I could even imagine. Her books never fail to stay with me long after I finish the last page. I‘m still feeling some years later (not that I will mane drop them). 

🔥🔥🔥🔥-Everything about Hunter Dixon is beyond all hot. He is the perfect blend of Alpha AF and swoony to make every ladies fall in insta-lust!! Molly always manages to capture the perfect blend of sweet to heat in her love scenes. So.Freakin hawt!!🔥🔥

My Review

So I’m not gonna lie, Molly McAdams is one of those authors that has the ability to slice and dice my emotions with her amazingly poignant and heart wrenching books. My heart doesn’t stand a chance against her and her magical word wizardry. Pieces y’all, I fall to pieces. Then she comes in like a ninja surgeon and puts me back together again. Every.Single.Dang.Time. 

Cayson Dixon, I mean could we possibly have a more sexy name for our hero?!? That’s a rhetorical question BTW. Because, ladies, HOLY HELL! Everything about this broody, broken man is sexy. He makes my heart melt, he makes my heart flutter, my heart breaks for him. He basically OWNS my heart. Yup, I’m claiming this misunderstood man.

He’s so much more than what people realize and I can wait for you all to read this book and fall in love with the complexity of this character. To understand the years of secrets and lies buried deep that made him the man he became.The man that’s so much more than the reputation that follows him back home after nine years away working.

Emberly Olsen knew Cayson most of her life leading up through her teenage years. He was her best friend Sawyers older brother and was also her biggest crust turned tormentor. The emotional scars she wears even as an adult from his relentless teasing come boiling to the surface when Cayson shows back up in town after nine years away wanting to make amends oh…and he also wants her. 

She is one of the only people who know a little bits and pieces about why he may have left town in the first place, but just like him she’s stayed silent for all these years. How will she continue to resist giving her heart the one man who she has always wanted more than anything but now that he’s in front of her she can’t help but remember all that he’s done?

What I loved about this book was that this book had it all. This book was LIFE! It had heat, passion and banter for days. It had super sexy tension, angst,  frustration and family issues galore. Holy cow I wanted to chuck my kindle across the room. MORE THAN ONCE! 

I love that this book is about forgiveness and healing. It’s about finding support to help you overcome a tragedy from your past and about owning your crap and taking responsibility for the hurts you caused. But most of all it’s about the beauty of inevitable love. Because Love can conquer almost anything.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I love Molly McAdams. Her writing is always emotionally gripping and riveting. I know that with any book of hers I read I am going to get hit all up in my feelings. She never fails to deliver such well rounded works of literary art that I know I’m gonna get something that’s full of witty banter, heat, emotions and everything I could possibly want and more. Her books never fail to stay with me long after I finish the last page. I have some (that shall remain nameless) I’m still feeling years later. 

🔥🔥🔥🔥-There is nothing hotter than two people that try like hell to resist each other, then finally give in. Except maybe a big ol pan of biscuits and gravy, Nope Cayson and Emberly are hotter than biscuits and gravy! So this southern girl is saying that’s really Freakin hawt!! 🔥🔥

🌪Cliffhanger Warning-🌪🌪No Cliffhanger! This was super emotional, I cried so many times because I loved these characters and felt right along with them, but I am so happy with how this ended and I am so excited with the set up we get for the next  brothers book! #HappyEnding!😍
