This entire book had me hooked. I was already addicted to the guys, Juliet and Grams before but now it’s on a whole other level. I laughed and I cried. I got angry at times and the angst about did me in. But this book hurt my heart as much as it healed it. I got the exact closure I needed. If I could have special ordered exactly what I wanted in the wrap up for this series it would be exactly what CoraLee delivered. Actually thatโs not true. CoraLee gave me things I didnโt even know I needed and more. There was absolutely some super devastation in this story as well, but Iโm not mad. I think for these characters to end up where they were destined to go we had to endure the heartbreaking parts of their journey too.
Full of suspense, surprises, fighting and gore, sinful deliciousness, and unpredicted softer and sweeter moments out of our irredeemably redeemed Civella men. Grudge will close this series in the most extraordinary of ways. The engaging and phenomenally gifted writing by CoraLee June will keep you entranced from beginning to the very end, where you will sigh, cry and reluctantly let these characters go. Holy bloodbags baby!! Well This Sucks was ah-ma-zing! Not only did it NOT suck, It was Sucking hilarious, intriguing, unputdownable.IT.WAS.EVERYTHING!ย Iโm not usually a PNR or vampire romance fanโฆ well except maybe CoryHaim and Feldman. Gotta give a little Lost Boys shout out!! But I knew with the duo that literally keeps me dead I would be in for a ton oโ fun!ย
I mean we were set up from page one with hilarious antics. Our main h, Drewโs tinder date gone wrong sent us down the path of many, and I do mean many mishaps to come. From Drewโs not so happy childhood history, to her job as an executive at a sex toy company, to being changed against her will be prepared to hang onto chapter after chapter. Drew is my spirit chick. Sheโs my woman of empowerment and I want to be her when I grow up. Her life isnโt easy but I loved her approach and the way she embraced the suck! Hilariousness, mixed in with some reality jam packed with centuries old vampire rules and customs, policies and politics to the learning of how to be a proper vampire 101. Iโm here for all of it. I need this in a movie. I would watch this over and over. I can assure you, Iโm gonna reread it, multiple times.ย
Then we have Diego the all powerful, Alpha Vampire King. Heโs the ruler, delicious and dirty. He is immediately drawn to Drew. The fledgling charged without her permission. The fledgling who is also fated and heavily attracted too. He wants her as his queen, but he wants her to want to be queen, by her choice. Not because of being fated, or some centuries old custom, but by her choice. Something that she hasnโt got to make a lot of in her life. He may be a bloodsucker, but he was good down to his ice cold dead heart. For an immortal he sure gave me warm and fuzzies๐ and kept me hot under the collar.๐ฅย
This entire cast of characters with their craziness, even down to the the cat (OMG the cats name) and granny Betty(sheโs my home girl yo)๐๐ป it is one thing after another. It really was a such a fabulous break from all the chaos thatโs Going on in life right now. So.needed! GAH! The brilliance in which CoraLee and Carrie bounced off of each other was pure perfection. Holy Cow you guys! Aggro was PHENOMENAL! Like top reads of 2020, phenomenal! I went into this book expecting something totally different than what I got, but I wasnโt disappointed by this fact in.any.way. This book is so powerful it will grab a hold of you and embed itself so deeply into your mind, heart and soul it will consume you until you have devoured every single word.
Aggro is the story of Breeze, Chase and Kai, three teens bound by grief over the death of Violet. Violet was Breezeโs best friend, twin sister to Chases and in a toxic relationship with Kai. This is a story of how the three of them deal with this tragic loss, as not only individuals but together. My heart felt like it was in a vice over and over. Just the amazing writing of CLJ and CG was so vivid and with such clear attention to detail I had to keep reminding myself ( you are not there, you donโt really know these people Irl) because I was a mess yโall.๐ญ Seriously, hot mess express! ๐ญ๐ญ
They set out on a quest desperate for answers. Three teens plagued by guilt, hurt, anger, and survivor’s guilt. They are all working to put the pieces together to find out what happened the night of Violetโs violent death and the secrets she had been keeping from everyone that led up to her death. But will they be able to handle the truth when they get it?
Now, if you are like me, a bit of a cover ho, you assume by the amazing cover that we are getting a story from a Heroโs POV. However that isnโt how this goes down at all. It is even better. This amazing story takes place in a picturesque beach island town. We get POVโs from Breeze, Chase and Kai and I love this so much because each one is struggling in a different way to come to terms with what has happened. To have the story told in their voice as they are experiencing the different emotions is so emotional and powerful, it just takes the story to another level of awesome, and Iโm so happy the authors did it this way. These three and their constant struggle with wondering who could have committed this crime and maybe at times even wonder about each other.
What I love is that no matter how many times you think you might have figured whatโs going on or whatโs gonna happen next CoraLee and Carrie pull the rug right out from under you.
I loved all of these characters. Breeze was the sweet wallflower that was always the silent shadow behind her outgoing best friend, Violet. She assumed she was never seen but that is far from the truth. For the longest time she had a crush on Chase but sister code prevented her from ever making a move.
Chase was hot, he was also a getaround girl hopper. He loved his sister and he loved Breeze. It seemed like he loved her like a sister but who knows maybe it could have been more at one time? ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Then you have Kai, the one they call an Aggro, โwhich was an aggressive surfer, taking chances most of us wouldnโt.โ He was gorgeous and tattooed, but when he was with Violet they were all wrong for each other. They were the very definition of toxicity. But when he looked at Breeze. Well that was a different story.
I wonโt say anymore as not to give spoilers, but you NEED this book in your life like you need AIR. It will draw you in like a rip tide and pull you under in its clutches and twist you, turn you about, take your breath, scare you, and then finally spin you backout the other side. You will never be the same, you will remember the feeling of it always.
I canโt possibly recommend this book enough. If I could custom order a book to be written for me with all the things I want in it, this would be what was delivered to me, but then when I opened the box and started reading my book there would be unexpected bonus material in it. Thatโs how fantastically, phenomenally, unforgettably amazing this book is!! CoraLee June and Carrie Gray slayed this book!!
You get murder, mystery, suspense, sexy, angsty goodness. But you also get the swoony, sweet, and forgiveness. You get a book where enemies become allies. I was on the edge of my seat and I was here for it all! I will definitely re-read this book. Because honestly Iโm not ready to let these characters go. That epilogue yโall. He did get around a lot and he was unapologetic in his behaviors but he was just so adorable, it was easy to forgive him. Lol
I donโt know how that happened. I guess because he wasnโt a mean character and he had reasons for being the way he was and they were quite heartbreaking as well. I loved these two together, they both had stuff to overcome and they were able to do that and heal together. It was perfect! ๐๐๐ป๐ I love CoraLee and I am Super excited by newcomer Carrie and can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in the future.ย

Oh-my-gosh!! Yโall! My heart, my heart. Iโm all over the freakin place. This conclusion was LIFE, every emotion in my body was beaten down, broken, used up and tossed around before CoraLee picked me up off the floor hugged me and mended my heart back together.
I truly wonโt say too much about what happened in this book as not to give anything away, but I will say Iโm in awe at CoraLeeโs brilliance. This author yโall! I mean she gave us this story that picks up five years later and Roe is still heartbroken, pining over Hunter, obsessed and determined to find him. The lengths to which she will go to find him, who and how far she will be willing to go to get information on his whereabouts and what it will do to get information, the writing is so good, that desperation jumps off the pages. Iโm telling you I didnโt know who was more desperate, Roe Palmer or Me?!? ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ But how will her heart handle what she sees when she does finally find Hunter? Can she handle all he throws her way to get her to turn right back to where she came from?
Have you ever loved someone and wanted to simultaneously knock them upside the head repeatedly? Yeah, thatโs the way I felt towards Hunter for most of this book. Holy heck how I love that stalker, but he kept hurting, Pretty Debt. Over and over again. Ultimately I knew it was in an effort to protect her , but it still hurt like hell.

This book was so fast past and full of suspense. It was gritty and dangerous. I just loved the pieces the secondary characters brought to the puzzle. Nicole, Mack and the Bullets, they are all fantastic.
I loved all the suspense and action. GAH!! I loved everything about the ride this book took me on. OH and let me just tell you. This book was full of some of the most beautiful poetry, really, Iโm still just reeling from it. It was so vulnerable and raw. It stripped bare the innermost personal and intimately beautiful thoughts and emotions of everything Roe had ever been through and was going through. It was awesome that the author got to display this talent of hers in this book this way.
As far as Roe and Hunter in this book, there is an amazing push and pull, a clash and fighting of their feelings and chemistry. Both Hunter and Roe are stubborn and constantly try to hurt each other in an effort of self preservation and self sacrifice.

O-M-G!!!I need book two like ASAP!! I mean everything about this book, starting page one, actually the blurb. I was like โah hell this ones keeping me up tonight.โ Hunter (so appropriately named BTW) and Roeโs story is absolutely unlike ANYTHING else out there right now. Itโs dark and raw and twisted. Itโs gritty and suspenseful. This book will literally take you from your gut wrenched up in knots to your stomach filled with the flutter of butterflies courtesy of our main hero Hunter.
Hunter and Roe were bound by a connection that started the day she was born. Unbeknownst to her she was Hunterโs obsession, his self imposed debt, keeping her safe was his lifeโs mission. So from a distance he watched, she was his โprettiest debtโ after all, he would do anything and everything to keep her safe. Until one day he had to come out of the shadows.
Hunter was gorgeous, yet mysterious. He was brash and controlling and a bit rough, but immediately on the flip side gentle and caring towards Roeโs safety. He was Alpha AF and brooding. Like you get the feeling heโs this damaged broken man out to get revenge for the past, but you know inside lies a gooey chocolate center that only Roe has the ability to melt. My heart broke for this character.

When she meets Hunter itโs not under great circumstances. She calls him her โstalker.โ Yet sheโs intrigued by this beautifully terrifying man. Heโs such a contradiction.
She doesnโt know if she hates him or wants him from one minute to thenext? She just suspects heโs grappling with those same conflicting emotions. I literally ran the gamut of emotions with this book friends. There was so much chemistry and longing between these characters. GAAHH! It was phenomenal the push and pull for so long. The fight they put up. Hells yeah!! This book is packed with suspense and angst too. I was thinking and had so many theories floating around in my head. I kept internally looking around the next corner for what was going to happen next. It was so good, I couldnโt have guessed! Then the cliffhanger and the end!!
