Y’all!! This book is most definitely one of my favorite books of 2021!! It legit has everything and I mean EVERYTHING I am looking for when I pick up an office romance/enemies to lovers book. This was my first book by this author but now I want to devour her entire backlog. Immediately!! It fulfilled all my hopes of delivering the perfect mix of funny, delicious banter, sexy scenes, and make your heart melt swoony love.
Hayes and Tali’s story is unlike any other I have read. It was such a refreshing new take on the whole boss/employee, enemies to lovers trope. Plus it was laugh until your gut hurt hilarious. Hayes and Tali were perfectly matched characters for each other. They were both fun and exciting. Their chemistry explosive and organic. Hayes, grumpy and jaded from some stuff in the past and Tali this sarcastic ray of sunshine. The Insta-lust/loathing was beyond hot and made for the perfect “banter o hate” you just didn’t know from one minute if they were gonna be verbally sparring or unable to keep their hands off each other.

Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth O’Roark spent many years as a medical writer before publishing her first novel in 2013. She holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and arts from the University of Texas, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She is the author of eight novels and recipient of the 2017 IBPA gold medal for romance. She lives in Washington DC with her three children.
