Holy Hot Dewey Decimals Y’all!! A lesson in Blackmail is my first KD Robichaux book and TBH I’m pissed at myself that I have not read this author before. Like, I feel like I need to beat my own ass for somehow passing her books by. Like,  I have seriously been missing OUT!!Nathaniel and Evelyn’s story was explosive, it was phenomenal, it was FREAKIN EVERYTHING!! I will definitely be re-reading this beautiful book baby again! 🖤🔥🖤

Nathaniel Black IV is the most gorgeous, popular boy in school. He could have any girl he wants and he has had many of them, except the mousey little librarian, Evelyn, that is up until now. Nathaniel plans everything about his life to a “T”, living a very structured existence. I floved this character. At first glance it seems like we are going to have the standard rich prick of a bully. But that is NOT at all what we get. Nate is caring and complex. There are layers to this gorgeous alpha and he really just needed his perfect partner. He was never mean or cruel. His taunts were tantalizing.

 I loved that he was dominant without being demeaning. Alpha without being an asshole. He was coming into his own and discovering his true self. I loved who Nate was when he was with Evie. When he was his truest and most vulnerable self. He was also at his strongest. I just love Nate! 😍 Evie gave him so much power and it equipped him to reach who he was supposed to be. Everything about their relationship was forbidden.She was the schools librarian and he was a senior in high school, Captain of the swim team. What would happen if they are discovered? Will they throw caution to the wind and go for it anyway? 

Evelyn “Evie” was the <i>smokin hot, but shy librarian.</i> A true submissive by nature. She had always been drawn to something about Nathaniel. Even through his taunting she can’t help but to be captivated by him. This mousey little librarian had the attention of Nathaniel Black IV.  Living her dream job as a librarian Monday through Friday, when she clocked out Friday afternoons she looked forward to her secret place, where she can work all her anxieties out.

When her secret lifestyle is discovered by Nate Black of all people, she will do anything she needs to protect all that is most important to her. But what happens when her Lessons in Blackmail no longer feel like Blackmail but feel like everything she’s ever wanted, is it worth the risk of losing everything she’s world so hard for? 

Told in dual POV (my favorite!!) this book had me hooked from the second I started it. I was like forget the dishes, laundry, who TF cares? I will return to my regularly scheduled adulting ONLY AFTER I have finished devouring this book.  Y’all this book needs to be on your TBR like yesterday! This is in The Black Mountain Academy a series of stand-alones by a bunch of amazing authors centered around the private school, Black Mountain Academy. I can’t wait to get my mitts on more books from BMA. As for KD Robichaux, I’m gonna start working my way through her back log, because I am her newest #1 Fan!!
