Overhearing my cousin’s best friend confessing that she’s never been satisfied wasn’t my fault… but offering to help her change that definitely was. Her brother is a friend of mine, and while this has a bad idea written all over it, it doesn’t stop us from becoming friends… with benefits.
Palmer is gorgeous, off-limits, and stubborn as hell. For the first time, I’m the one left wanting more.
I’m tired of watching her walk away. I’m ready for her to stay.
Palmer
I never dreamed having my crush overhear my most embarrassing confession would land me in his bed… or that I would want to stay there.
But our secret relationship has rules. No strings. No expectations. No feelings. What’s that saying about rules? Oh yeah, they’re meant to be broken.
But when it comes to Brooks, I’m afraid if I’m not the one to walk away, it won’t be just the rules broken.
Well I thought I was hopelessly devoted to Deacon. ( Never with Me) I just knew I was utterly obsessed with Orrin.(Stay Always) But without a doubt I can say “ Move Y’all, Get Out The Way.” Because be still my heart, ♥️ I have been Bewitched by Brooks. His and Palmer’s story is steamy, sweet and totally swoony. In typical Kaylee Ryan fashion you get fantastically fun and flirty times, a great cast of secondary characters, a romantic and heartfelt story that is sure to melt both your heart and your kindle.
Stay Over, the first FULL LENGTH book in the Kincaid brother series, is a standalone but has characters we met briefly in both Never with Me, Deacon and Ramsey’s story. As well as Stay Over, Orrin and Jade’s novella. In Never with Me we are first introduced to the Kincaid brothers. Nine gorgeous and charming Georgia boys. I am already in love with them all and cannot wait to devour each and every one of their stories.Unique and amazing men each with his own story to tell but fiercely loyal to their family. The supportive way they jump in to be there for each other. Oh My Heart.
😭“Not just today, but today and all of the tomorrows. We’re here for you.”
Palmer is a sweet and sassy photographer. She’s the youngest sister of Deacon and Ramsey is her best friend. She is really proud of herself for getting her brother and best friend together, but hasn’t seemed to have that same kind of luck in her own love life. Plus she was really focused on her career and the guy she had the longest running crush on is her brother’s best friend, Brooks. He is older than her by six or seven years and would never look at her that way. Or so she thought.
Brooks Kincaid is caring, gorgeous and a total sexy sweetheart of a man. He grew up around Palmer because of his friendship with her brother but now he’s starting to see her in a whole new light. For both of them growing up in such loving homes, they saw examples everyday from their parents that set high standards in both their minds on what they wanted for their future partners. So they both were willing to hold out until that person came along and focused on their careers. But a some fun and flirting at a celebration open up the doors for a secret “mutually beneficial” arrangement that worked for both of them…until it didn’t. Feelings, miss understandings, and a little drama make for an enjoyably engaging journey with ALL the best friend shenanigans and Kincaid brother backing your little heart desires. 🥰

Four and a Half, Fun, Flirty and Fall in Love with the Kincaids STARS!!
💭Overall Thoughts~I am such a Kaylee Ryan fan. Her writing never fails to suck me right in. Her ability to blend fun and super sexy, with the perfect amount of emotions without being angsty. I love the thought and background she puts into each and every unique character she writes. I can’t get enough of her writing. Especially her series. That is why she is one of my. favorite one-click authors! I sure cannot wait for Declan’s story. ASAP.
🌶HEAT~ 🌶🌶🌶🌶Brooks and Palmer are Definitely Deliciously Hot!
🥰HEA/CLIFFY🧗♀️~ No Cliffy. HEA– I was left all warm and ooey gooey with this perfect ending. Can’t wait to get more glimpses of Brooks and Palmer in the rest of the Kincaid brothers stories.
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Kaylee Ryan has been crowned the Queen of Swoon by her readers. With nearly fifty romance books under her belt, she’s known for penning happily ever afters with heart. When she’s not writing, you can find her with a book in her hand or hanging out with her family where she resides in her home state of Ohio.
I’m out of my depth participating in a blind-date photo shoot. Not only am I meant to act like I’m open for dating, but I’m meant to be sexy and get up close and personal with a complete stranger.
None of the above is me. But I’m a sucker, and my best friend can talk me into anything.
Deacon is the kind of guy my heart could be safe with. But I’ve been taking care of myself for a long time, and I’m not sure I’m ready to rely on anyone else. Not even the handsome, successful older brother of my best friend.
Deacon
I never saw her coming. One date with a beautiful stranger and I’m hooked.
Technically, Ramsey isn’t a stranger. She’s my little sister’s best friend, the same sister who volunteered me because she claims “I’m a workaholic in desperate need of love.”
All I know is I can’t stop thinking about Ramsey and the way her lips felt against mine. I have to see her again. Good thing I’m an attorney, because convincing her to take a chance on me is going to be the hardest case I’ve ever pleaded. She’s worried about the past repeating itself. What she’s yet to figure out is that her fear is unnecessary… never with me.
My Review
Kaylee Ryan has done it again my book lovin’ friends. Dropped right in with another one of her perfectly delicious, sweet, and fantastically swoony stories that make you feel all ooey gooey and fluttery inside. Never With Me is Ramsey and Deacon’s remarkably heartfelt journey that will have you feeling good, maybe a little frustrated a couple of times, and a whole lotta love for ALL the characters in this book. From the very first time they saw each other they had undeniable instant chemistry and an instant connection, making this a super flirty, fun, and definitely a fan yourself because it’s so freaking hot, tale of love. It just further cemented to me why this author IS and WILL REMAIN one of my one-click favorites for steamy, dreamy, feel-good romances.
One of my favorite things about this author’s works is how big family plays a part in her books/series. You can’t help but to want to be a part of these stories. To be friends or a cousin or someone because I want to be at a family cookout or something hanging out with all these awesome people. One thing is for certain, I am always up for being swept away into the magical book worlds that author Kaylee Ryan has created.
Ramsey Rammed Her Way right into my heart from page one with her emotional backstory. From the first paragraph of the prologue I knew this woman deserved so much more than she had ever been given before. She needed to be loved wholly, completely, unequivocally. I love how coming to Willow River was her new start and she was ultimately able to find everything she needed to heal the parts of her that had been cracked and broken by the ones who were supposed to take care of her when she was younger. She found her people. She finally had a true loving support system.
When a favor to her introduces her to, Deacon the drop dead gorgeous older brother of her best friend, Palmer. Instantly attracted but hesitant for several reasons Deacon seriously has his work cut out for him if he wants to wear her down and get her to give him a chance. Not only is he older but also the workaholic brother of her BFF, but he has to penetrate walls of protection put up to protect the heart of a woman that has been hurt and does not trust or intend to ever depend on a man again.
My heart just bled for them both. I love the personal growth her character went through in this book. The way she grew more confident in voicing what fears she had, the things she had been through. The way she opened up. She was already strong but with his backing she was even more so. GAH!! She did good Y’all!
I am definitely Devoted to Deacon. While he may be a workaholic because he has goals that include taking over the law firm where he works when the partners retire. Up to this point he really hasn’t had any drive to find a girlfriend because that would just occupy time he could devote to working instead. But holy moly ladies, he’s a total sweetheart.
He’s sexy and everything about him is the stuff book boyfriend dreams are made of. A successful lawyer who loves his family, is patient, supportive and kind, plus knows how to throw down in pound town. Can I get a HELL Yeah?! Y’all, I would beg this man to allow me the pleasure of hand washing his skivvies after cutting the grass at 3:00 pm on the hottest day in July. Lol Okay so maybe not really dirty laundry because TBH I have seven kids and do enough laundry, but I’m sure there are other ways I could lend a helping hand. 😏
Pretty Please with a Cherry on Top, any wish would be my command. Deacon just did it for me guys.
This author writes the swooniest of heroes. So henceforth I shall refer to him as “Deacon the Delicious.” When you read this you will completely understand why.
Never With Me is a stand-alone story told in alternating POV with elements of many different tropes. Fans of my best friend’s brother, age-gap, and small town. There is an instant connection and chemistry but we get to see the relationship build and grow as well. This book, the setting, all the secondary characters kept me engaged and loving every minute.
I am really pumped because this book introduced us to Ramsey’s cousins, the Kincaid brothers whose stories we will be getting in a new Kincaid Brothers Series, which will feature each of the nine brother’s in his own book. I AM SO EXCITED! Make sure you grab your copy of Never With Me today and fall in love with Ramsey, and Deacon. Get ready for a little kickstart introduction to the hotness that is the Kincaid boys. HAWT DAMN**fans self**
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Kaylee Ryan has been crowned the Queen of Swoon by her readers. Hot Diggity Damn Y’all! There is not a genre or trope Author Holly Renee writes that I do not absolutely obsess over. No lie. I am convinced that she could write the ingredients on a menu advertising a double decker sardine and spam sandwich and I would be the first in line to devour that delicious delicacy.
This may be this author’s first jump into the fantasy romance pool but she takes it on like Michael Phelps because that’s the kind of word wizard she is, and that is how much she pours herself into each and every project she takes on. BRILLIANT!!
The Kingdom of Stars and Shadows brings us the story of Adara and Evren. Adara, known as the Starblessed and Prince Evren, the non-crowned Prince. Adara has been betrothed since childhood to Prince Gavril, who also happens to be Evren’s brother. She is not happy about this arrangement and decides to do everything in her power to try to escape that fate. Her rebellious and fiery spirit is addictive and you can help but to fall for her. You root for her and your heart bleeds for her. You totally get the draw she has to Evren. This heroine is my kinda gal. Rebellious yet torn. An ass kicker with a heart of gold. Terrified of what’s to come but still so brave and bold.
Evren is gorgeous and protective. He takes care of Adara in a way that only he can. He is the perfect mix of swoony and alpha. Protective and possessive. Bound by duty and loyalty to his father and brother, a force to be reckoned with. It is a deep struggle for him to watch his brother get closer to taking what he wants so badly. You will fall for him, be frustrated for him and most definitely be fanning yourself over him. He is all kinds of dirty talking, and sexy mysterious power and he will surprise you over and over again. He seems like such a loyal and faithful servant… But to whom is he most loyal?!
Majestically magical and fabulously forbidden, this story is unique, unforgettably engaging and will have you hanging on every single second from the start until the suckerpunching cliffy at the end. I was left with questions lurking behind everything surrounding Evren. I always felt like I didn’t know everything going on. Like maybe as soon as I thought I had a handle on it I’d get another twist or curve thrown my way to kick things into another gear and I freaking love that feeling.
This is the kind of fantastical fantasy book I live to devour. It’s fascinating and exciting and leaves me giddy with anticipation for the next book, knowing I will get the answers I seek. I’m eager for more Evren, and oh so anxious for all the Adara. Make sure you dive into the dirty deliciousness that is this forbidden, and angsty story full of steam, action, twists, and loads of anger filled banter. Remember…forbidden fruit always tastes the sweetest.
I am going to darn near die of anticipation waiting for A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal. Can one truly die of anticipation? I guess we shall see. But either way it’s coming this fall y’all. So make sure you add it to your TBR and pre-order it today. FIVE FATED STARS ⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨
Get Ready To Cry Y’all!! Only Rivals, book one in the Only You series and a second generation spin off of the Blue Beech and Twisted Fox series’ is an enemies to lovers, second chance, love after loss romance. With plenty of angst, steam, and all the feels.
Only Rivals is the journey of Jax and Amelia. His ex… err, almost ex? However the cookie crumbles. His recently dead best friend’s fiancée. This complex dynamic plays such an intricate part of the story. I promise it’s a lot less Jerry Springer and really emotional and engaging to read. Jax is so angry and his character is frustrating at times you want to just shake him but this big tough guy is struggling with some big emotions and as frustrated as I was with him I felt for him so badly too. I needed his vitriol to end though. The level of devastation I was feeling every time he was spewing words of hatred and blame at Amelia was really high. I was like I can’t take it anymore. PLEASEMake it stop!!
But Amelia. Holy Moly. I can’t even imagine. Any of it. But Ms. Ferrell was able to bring in the emotional lows that we needed to connect to Amelia’s character. To sympathize with her. To grieve, to process, to begin to heal right along with her. I really liked her journey. I will be honest my heart literally shattered at times with the hateful things Jax said to her. I was like how much more can one person possibly be broken? It was brutal to read. But that is what made it so much more rewarding when he finally had his awakening and turned his attitude around.
This definitely is steamy and has tension for days. They have plenty of what I call “ banter o’hate” back and forth. They have chemistry which is ready to strike as hot as their tempers when they get near each other. They both are suffering with so much hurt that it’s understandable they would have the ability to actually help each other heal. They have a shared history so in my opinion they seemed like they were always soulmates who just needed to fulfill another purpose. Maybe someone else needed them more for a bit. But in the end, inevitably those who are supposed to be will always find their way back to each other. 4.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
ABOUT CHARITY FERRELL
Charity Ferrell is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of the Blue Beech and Twisted Fox series. She resides in Indianapolis, Indiana. Angst is her happy place, and she loves writing about flawed people finding love.
I’ve made it my life’s mission to make the school librarian squirm.
This school is mine—literally, my family built Black Mountain Academy generations ago—and I own everything in it. And I, Nathaniel Black IV, won’t stop until that includes her.
She just started this year, my senior year, her first job right out of college. She calls it her dream job, but I’ve had the sick pleasure of making my study period with her every day more a nightmare. I’m fixated on her, obsessed with her, and all I want is to feel the skittish little mouse beneath me.
I can’t get her out of my head, not even while partying at my friend’s house, every girl vying for my attention. But they don’t stand a chance, not when my focus is on Ms. Evelyn Richards. She makes me feel… things I don’t understand. Possessive yet… protective. I can f— with her, but no one else can.
Compulsion strikes, the other half of my disorder, and that night I set out to find where she lives. And what I discover changes both our lives.
The perfect information for blackmail. The perfect secret to hold over her head to get what I want.
Holy Hot Dewey Decimals Y’all!! A lesson in Blackmail is my first KD Robichaux book and TBH I’m pissed at myself that I have not read this author before. Like, I feel like I need to beat my own ass for somehow passing her books by. Like, I have seriously been missing OUT!!Nathaniel and Evelyn’s story was explosive, it was phenomenal, it was FREAKIN EVERYTHING!! I will definitely be re-reading this beautiful book baby again! 🖤🔥🖤
Nathaniel Black IV is the most gorgeous, popular boy in school. He could have any girl he wants and he has had many of them, except the mousey little librarian, Evelyn, that is up until now. Nathaniel plans everything about his life to a “T”, living a very structured existence. I floved this character. At first glance it seems like we are going to have the standard rich prick of a bully. But that is NOT at all what we get. Nate is caring and complex. There are layers to this gorgeous alpha and he really just needed his perfect partner. He was never mean or cruel. His taunts were tantalizing.
I loved that he was dominant without being demeaning. Alpha without being an asshole. He was coming into his own and discovering his true self. I loved who Nate was when he was with Evie. When he was his truest and most vulnerable self. He was also at his strongest. I just love Nate! 😍 Evie gave him so much power and it equipped him to reach who he was supposed to be. Everything about their relationship was forbidden. She was the schools librarian and he was a senior in high school, Captain of the swim team. What would happen if they are discovered? Will they throw caution to the wind and go for it anyway?
Evelyn “Evie” was the smokin hot, but shy librarian. A true submissive by nature. She had always been drawn to something about Nathaniel. Even through his taunting she can’t help but to be captivated by him. This mousey little librarian had the attention of Nathaniel Black IV. Living her dream job as a librarian Monday through Friday, when she clocked out Friday afternoons she looked forward to her secret place, where she can work all her anxieties out.
When her secret lifestyle is discovered by Nate Black of all people, she will do anything she needs to protect all that is most important to her. But what happens when her Lessons in Blackmail no longer feel like Blackmail but feel like everything she’s ever wanted, is it worth the risk of losing everything she’s world so hard for?
Told in dual POV (my favorite!!) this book had me hooked from the second I started it. I was like forget the dishes, laundry, who TF cares? I will return to my regularly scheduled adulting ONLY AFTER I have finished devouring this book. Y’all this book needs to be on your TBR like yesterday! This is in The Black Mountain Academy a series of stand-alones by a bunch of amazing authors centered around the private school, Black Mountain Academy. I can’t wait to get my mitts on more books from BMA. As for KD Robichaux, I’m gonna start working my way through her back log, because I am her newest #1 Fan!!

KD Robichaux wanted to be a romance author since the first time she picked up her mom’s Sandra Brown books at the ripe old age of twelve. She went to college to become a writer, but then married her very own alpha and had babies. Putting her dream job on hold to raise her family as a stay at home mom who read entirely too much, she created a blog where she could keep her family and friends up-to-date on all the hottest reads. From there, by word of mouth, her blog took off and she began using her hard-earned degree as a full-time editor. When her kids started school, and with the encouragement from her many author friends, she finally sat down and started working on her first series, The Blogger Diaries, her own real-life romance. She’s now published more than fifteen stories in many different genres of romance.

Oh my gosh you guys! This book was magic! It was pure break my heart, melt my heart, put my heart back together again gold! Jamie and Cohen’s story is gut wrenching at first , but then it gives way to this phenomenally beautiful journey of love, and healing at the same time. Cohen and Jamie’s story is anything but a traditional boy meets girl romance.
From the outside looking in these are two people who are so wrong for each other for many reasons, but from the moment the ran back into each other after five years of not seeing each other every thing about them was inevitable. They simply completed each other, even when they didn’t realize it. They unknowingly made this perfect little family with Noah. There were hold ups though, for both of them. For Cohen the ultimate betrayal and hurt prevent him from seeing the potential of what’s right in front of him. But for Jamie if she gave in to what’s always been there it could cost her every one she cares about.
I don’t want to give any spoilers about this book y’all. It was a really different twist on a forbidden love story.
This single parent romance was full of heart and soul. Charity Farrell packed it full of characters we couldn’t help but to fall instantly in love with and I’m begging for all of their stories. This story brought me to tears so many times. I laughed with these characters and I cried for them. I fanned myself off from the overwhelming heat and sexiness the radiated. 🔥I wanted to jump through the kindle and throttle some of them quite a few times. But mostly I rooted and rooted for them.
I wanted for Cohen and Jamie to be able to fight all the odds stacked against them and be able to make a family with Noah. Will they be able to kick aside all the Heather’s and the “Sprinkle Heirs” of their world and make a go at it or will the pressure be too much for them to handle.
My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!

Chapter One Jamie Five Years Later Nine hours down. Three to go. Three hours until I can go home, finish that box of Thin Mints I shouldn’t have bought, and binge-watch a show on Netflix. Netflix and cookies. Netflix and single. Netflix and story of my life. “Tell me he finally agreed?” Lauren, our charge nurse, asks—referring to the appendicitis patient who’s been refusing an appendectomy all night. I nod. “After his wife promised to buy him a new TV.” She scoffs. “I’d love to say someone being bribed to have life-saving surgery is a shocker, but after working in the ER for so long, I’m not easily shooketh.” “Tell me about it.” I glance around the emergency room. “What’s next for me?” It’s been a slow night at Anchor Ridge Memorial Hospital, and as much as that’s a good thing, it can get boring. She points down the hall. “Exam room three. Five-year-old with a fever.” Her tone turns bubbly as she wiggles her shoulders. “Dad is super hot, by the way.” I shake my head and tap my knuckles against the triage desk. “I’ll let you know if I need anything.” “Ask him for his number,” she half-whispers with a thumbs-up. I roll my eyes and dismissively wave my hand. “Absolutely not.” “All work and no play makes Jamie a grumpy doctor.” “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” I spin on my heel and walk to the room. The door is cracked, and I knock, snatching a pair of latex gloves on my way in. “Hello, I’m Dr.—” I stop, stumble back two steps, and cover my mouth with my hand. Holy crap. My body tenses, and as soon as my gaze meets his, his jaw flexes. I struggle for words as anger and disgust line his face. Words I’d planned if this moment ever happened. Unfortunately, those words become a scared bitch and run away. “Cohen,” is all I manage in a whisper. He stands tall from his chair, his narrowed eyes pinned to me, and moves to the side of the bed, blocking my view of the patient. Lauren’s words hit me. “Five-year-old …” My attention slides from Sir Pissed Off, and I shift to the left. “Oh my God,” I whisper, gaping at the little boy in the bed. A little boy whose eyes are sleepy and nose is red and irritated. Those sleepy eyes, a walnut-brown with a slight slant, match his father’s. The same with his thick ash-brown hair. But the dimple in his chin and heart-shaped face match hers. “Is this …?” My hand shakes when I point at him. It’s a dumb question. Even if he says no, he’ll be a liar. “What are you doing here?” he repeats, his tone harsh. If I wasn’t at a loss for words, my smart-ass self would throw out something along the lines of, What do you think, dumbass? I’m sporting a doctor’s jacket with my name embroidered on it. But I don’t. Because I can’t. It’s a challenge, wrapping my head around them being here, let alone dragging out my sarcasm. “I’m your doctor,” I finally say before signaling to the boy. “I’m his doctor.” Sound cool. Confident. You’re the fucking professional here, Jamie. “We want a different doctor,” he hisses, his voice low enough so only I can hear. “I’m the only doctor on shift tonight.” I’m speaking to Cohen, but the boy holds my interest. He’s watching this exchange, his eyes pinging back and forth between his father and me with curiosity on his tired face. “We’ll go to another hospital then.” “Why, Dad?” the boy whines, sniffling. “I don’t feel good, and what if I puke in the car?” “I want another doctor.” His broad shoulders draw back. He raises a brow when I hold up a finger, turn, and scurry out of the room. I rush over to Lauren. “Can you watch the boy in three for a minute? I need to talk to his father privately.” She peeks up at me from her computer and tilts her head to the side. “Yeah … sure.” Cohen is pacing the room when we walk in. “A word,” I say, jerking my head toward the doorway. Cohen’s attention darts to the boy, and he delivers a gentle smile. “I’ll be right back, buddy.” He gives him a quick peck on the head and swings his arm toward the door, his eyes cold. “After you, Your Highness.” Lauren throws me a curious glance when he walks past her, and I shrug as if this isn’t about to be awkward city up in here. As we leave, I hear Lauren asking the boy what his favorite cartoon is. Cohen keeps his distance while I lead us into a private room, the one reserved for breaking bad news to families. I speak as soon as I shut the door., “Cohen—” Too bad he doesn’t let me get more than his name out. Rude. His deep-set eyes level on me. “This is a conflict of interest, Jamie. The nurse can help us. We don’t need you.” “We don’t need you.” The memories of the last time he said those words to me smack into me like a headache. It was the last time I saw him. The last time he looked at me with the same resentment. Either he doesn’t realize how hard his insult hit me or he doesn’t care. I snort, anger biting at me. “What do you think I’m going to do, huh? Kidnap him?” “Considering who you’re related to, who knows?” “Wow.” I clench my fists to hold myself back from smacking him in the face since his words are like a slap in mine. “You have some nerve.” It’d make for some bad headlines if a doctor slapped a patient’s father. There’s no apology on his face when he holds up his hands. “Just saying it how I see it.” “Then allow me to say it how I see it.” I thrust my finger toward the door. “You have a sick son in there, and it’s my job to treat him. Don’t like it? I don’t give a shit.” I shove past him, stalk out of the room, and don’t check to see if he’s following me. “Everything okay?” Lauren asks, her eyes glancing over my shoulder, and I realize Cohen is behind me, still keeping his distance. “Peachy,” I chirp before approaching the bed and smiling down at the boy. “What’s your name, honey?” “Noah,” he croaks. Even though I was sure it was him, my head spins at his confirmation. I tenderly squeeze his arm, and my tone turns cheerful. “Hi, Noah. I’m Dr. Gentry. Can I ask some questions about how you’re feeling?” He nods. Cohen stalks to the other side of the bed, his eyes on me, and Lauren migrates to the corner, her nosy ass interested in this shitshow. “He has a fever,” Cohen tells me, his tone softer. “For how long?” He scratches his scruffy cheek. “Over twenty-four hours.” “Appetite?” He shakes his head. “Not even sugar. I can hardly get him to drink, and he has no energy, which is very rare for him.” “Cough?” “Yes.” His jerk attitude settles while we turn our attention to Noah. I ask question after question as I take his temperature and go through all the motions. “Symptoms tell me it’s the flu,” I say, removing my gloves and tossing them into the trash. “We’ll do a test, and I also want to run some blood work to make sure we’re not missing anything.” Cohen nods. “Thank you.” I smile at Noah. “We’ll get you back to feeling good in no time.” I give Lauren, who’s gathering supplies for the test, a head nod and leave the room. I‘ll definitely be pairing wine with those Thin Mints tonight. Lauren comes scurrying into the doctors’ lounge ten minutes later. “Whoa, what was that about? Dude was super nice to me but acted as if you’d pissed in his Cheerios.” Here goes. A chill sweeps up my neck. “That’s my sister’s ex … and her son … the ones she left.” “Oh, Jerry Springer.”

Blurb: They might be richer than gods, but they’re morally bankrupt. As far as the boys who run America’s most exclusive international academy are concerned, I’m an unwelcome interloper, an inconvenience, and they’re determined to make my life a living hell. When Wren Jacobi sets eyes on Wolf Hall Academy’s newest inductee, all he sees is an easy mark. A reserved little girl with a target painted on her back. He knows nothing of my troubled past, though. Nothing of my mother’s suspicious death, or the horrific treatment I’ve had to endure at the hands of my psychotic father. And he has no idea of the lengths that I, unassuming little Elodie Stillwater, will go to in order to break the savage beast who dreams of breaking me first. There’s a wolf stalking the forests that surround my new school.Little does he know…There are far scarier predators lurking out there in the dark.
My Review
Holy Hell Y’all! I loved every single freaking second of this book. Wren and Elodie’s story was Ah-May-Zing! I’m still trying to wrap all my thoughts around all the feelings this book threw my way, but I am all in on this new world and all about these Riot House boys, Callie Hart, has created. I want, I need, NO I absolutely can’t wait to have more from this world. Wren Jacobi the dark, devious Raven loving painter and Elodie, his ass kickin’ heroine with a tragic past have stolen my heart, broken my heart, and then mended my heart right along with their own. THIS is the kind of bully romance that does it for me, and Callie Hart, did it oh so good!
This phenomenal book was an explosion of everything awesome out of every genre I love. So much more than I thought I was going to get when I started this “bully romance.” I plowed through this book in record time, I practically ignored all else in my life. It’s that good, my friends. I can’t wait for more in this series.

Bound by a secret oath spanning generations, I am loyal to no one but the queen.
Spy.
Defender of the Crown.
To all of England, I’m Saxon Priest. Traitor. Murderer. Owner of London’s most infamous anti-loyalist pub.
And then she appears.
Isla Quinn may claim that she’s only looking to buss tables, but I’m no fool. Bitterness bleeds from her hard-blue eyes, and her hatred for the queen is so palpable, I can practically taste it off every sharp-tongued word slipping from her full mouth.
“Hire me,” she begs.
We’re on opposite sides of this war. Enemies from the start.
Isla thought she found an ally, but she’s found me instead.
Savage.
Ruthless.
A man with no heart, no matter how the dead space inside my chest lurches whenever she’s near.
And so I lean over, dragging her deep into this twisted game of crowns and thrones, and offer a single vow: “I could use you.”
