So… Inertia picks right back up where it left us at the end of Anesthetic. Devastatingly concerned for Ainsley and the path she is heading down. In Inertia Killian goes to many extremes to try to help her get clean. Unfortunately as much as his intentions are coming from the right place, the execution is a blend of some enabling combined with a bit of toxicity. But the things that never waivers is their love for one another, their passion for each other. Holy Crow they are so flipping hot together. 🥵🥵
This book is like being on a continuous rollercoaster of feels. I cried, swooned, sweated on edge, and I swore. Angst and frustration I felt at top levels. 🥺😩😥 I was worried for Ainsley and scared for Killian. Killian is in a battle with his heart and head. In his heart he doesn’t want to be away from his girl but his head knows he needs to do whatever he can to get her help and get her sober, even if that means breaking both their hearts along the way.
Killian has some substance issues himself though not to the extent of the addiction that has a hold of Ainsley. He’s also afraid of his previous actions coming back to haunt him and then he wouldn’t be able to help her. Ainsley knows she is in a horrible situation but the addiction is just so strong that it’s terrifying to think of how she will cope without dope.
Again this book leaves us panting and needing the final part of their story. I love this couple and I am totally invested in what happens to them so I need more of them like I need air. This book is gritty and raw and real in its depiction of the love between two lovers struggling with addiction. I love that C.M. gives us such an unfiltered view of all the aspects of what makes up these tortured and fantastic characters. Views of the real life real struggles addicts go through everyday.
In closing, trust me when I say I can’t possibly say all the reasons as to why you should read this without spoiling anything so just believe me. Read this series and this book. TODAY!!

My Review
Ander and Hadley are back. Breaking hearts and each other’s spirits with the beautiful inevitably toxic love they share. This poor couple is the absolute epitome of the addict and the enabler that will love them into the grave. They both are so irrevocably in love with each other.
But ultimately Ander can’t change who he is and what he does just because of Hadley. If her love was enough he would do it for her in a heartbeat, but Anders’ problems are big. But Hadley knows deep down that she can just love him better, she knows she can’t keep enabling him. It’s gonna hurt and take some huge sacrifice on her part because she just can’t stay in this world of worry and stress with him. But… Has he finally broken his last straw?
This book, like the others in the series, is emotional and raw. It’s so gut wrenching and real at it’s core you can help but to be swept away into Hadley and Anders’ story. To sympathize with everyone who has ever loved someone so much that they have found themselves in a continuous loop like we see here with Ander and Hadley. Their story is devastated and deep and raw and frustrating. But it’s so REAL y’all! There are couples out there like our Ander and Hadley right now and they don’t survive. So I can’t wait for book four. They have such deep strength and love that they pull from one another. Hardly is so much stronger than she knows and if anyone can be the incentive to make him get clean forever it’s her. I just hope it works.
Please read this delicious angst fest. You will be on the edge the entire time. This book is all highs and lows for our characters and all of it is magnificent writing. Get it today!!

I was devastated going into this book and I left it devastated. Ander and Hadley’s story is so raw and real and gritty, that it rips you to shreds. Tearing you down to your very core and lashing at you like daggers to the heart with the hurt that’s inflicted on these characters over and over again. Hurt thrown by each other and hurt by the biggest assailant of all, addiction.
As Ander finds himself even deeper into the throws of his addiction, Hadley is in a downward spiral of despair and doesn’t even realize it. Heroin has her clutches deep into Ander, and that addiction is taking over him. But Hadley, our broken and beautiful Hadley has an addiction that’s threatening to take her down too, her addiction to Ander.
I’m not going to give any specific details about this book I will just say this book is an amazingly angst filled, emotionally gripping ride. It’s heartbreaking and poignant and tear jerking and just so frustrating. You can help but to want to fix everything for these characters you’ve fallen so hard for. You have started the countdown to the next book and secretly started to dread the day you will eventually have to say goodbye to these characters because I don’t want this series to ever end. Brace for impact my loves because we are so far from the end of this journey.

You know my friends, there will come a time you will read a book that will touch you so profoundly that it will leave you wandering aimlessly for days afterwards in a perpetual state of shock, worry, and frustration. You will go through tears, sadness, still thinking about the book, going back and reading parts again. You will be anticipating the next book and at the same time overcome with so much emotion from the first book.
THIS was my emotional state after reading Opium Skies. I was not only riding the hot mess express, I’m the freaking train conductor of that bitch. I am so blown away and in awe of C.M.Radcliff and at the brilliance that she displayed in this book. If you haven’t read her yet…STOP EVERYTHING NOW!! And start devouring her books, because you my book lovin buddies, have been missing out.
Ander and Hadley’s story hurts, y’all.I’m not gonna lie. It’s so rivetingly raw and serves you up the harsh truths of love in a world of addiction. What it’s like to be head over heels in love with a liar, with a promise breaker, with someone who will hurt you, because they ultimately love the high more than they love themselves.
This book is gut-wrenching in its realness, it cuts to the core, because it’s so authentic. I felt like I had a front row seat to the events as they unfolded. Because this author’s attention to detail was top notch. I could close my eyes and picture every single detail. Sights, sounds and smells. No detail too small, just enough to paint the perfect picture in my mind. I mentally was on this journey with them. From the witty banter fun filled moments, to the sexy and steamy moments.
To the moments that left me crying my eyes out a blubbering mess (and totally getting WTF looks from my family) my friends, be ready to hurt for these characters that I fell so quickly in love with. You will too! Characters that are by no means perfect, but imperfectly perfect phenomenally written characters. They had unbelievable chemistry from the get go which made their obstacles that much more heartbreaking. I can’t wait for the next book because I am literally left on the edge of my seat grasping at any hint of what’s to come of these characters.
I want them to have the future not only I desire for them but that I think they deserve. I’m holding out hope for a HEA, but I also know that it seems like at this point my loves, Hadley and Ander are going to have to go through the nine circles of hell and back to get to that HEA. That is even if they even have a shot… And right now, they have just passed that first circle of hell. Love isn’t the issue. One is on a fast path of destruction…Question is will they take the other down with them?

My eyes fly open and I glance at the door, meeting his stormy blue eyes.
“What the fuck are you doing, Hadley?” Ander barks as his entire body consumes the doorway. Everyone in the room freezes, glancing between the two of us.
Narrowing my eyes, I hold his gaze, challenging him as I slide the rolled-up bill across the surface of the dresser, deeply inhaling the bright white powder. My eyes never leave Ander’s as I drop the bill onto the dresser and stand upright, sniffing harder. Ander steps into the room, his entire presence consumes every inch of the space. The two guys in the room instinctively step back, knowing better than to get in his way right now.
Ander’s eyes are honed in on mine and they burn with the deepest shades of blue. A complete contradiction to the storm that brews within his expression. He stops in front of me, reaching out and grabs my chin. Tilting my head to look back at him, he leans in, his lips just barely touching mine.
“You wanna play like that, little girl?” He breathes against my lips as a sinister smile pulls on the corners of his lips. “Game on.”
Quickly releasing me, Ander nudges me to the side and plucks the rolled-up bill from the wood surface. Crossing my arms over my chest, I watch him, slightly amused as he leans over the dresser. Within a matter of seconds, he inhales the remaining lines left and stands back to look at me.
His pupils are already constricted, but I watch as they transform into just small dots, with his blue irises consuming them. Ander looks down at me with a sly grin playing on his lips, waiting for me to make the next move.
Abruptly grabbing me by the throat, he pulls me flush against him. My breath catches in my throat. His touch burns against my skin and the blazing fire settles throughout my body, mixing with the euphoria from the Oxy and everything else in my system.
Heat spreads from my stomach and a warmth creeps between my legs as he leans closer, his warm breath skating across my face. Just as his lips are about to capture mine, he ducks his head to the side, pressing his lips against my ear.
“Ball’s in your court, babe,” he breathes, his words only meant for me to hear and lightly squeezes my throat. “Your move.”

Holy Moly!! Y’all!! I am loving these Sinister Fairytales and Mirage, OMG! Let me just tell you it’s right up there with my favorites of them. This one is a take on Aladdin. But if you’re looking for it to be just like Aladdin it won’t be. I mean there are a few similarities, but it’s just so amazing all on its own! If you had never even heard of the original story you would still love this.
Axel (our Hero) is this sexy, street fighter with a heart of gold. He grew up rough, tough and poor. But in the street fighting world he’s kicking rear and taking names. When he is approached with an offer to be an exclusive fighter for renowned Heart surgeon Jasper Lafar, it seems almost too good to be true. There is most definitely something untrustworthy about Jasper. But the allure of Jasper’s fiancé, the beautiful and sweet Jaslyn, whom Axel is sure Jasper is mistreating, is too much to resist so Axel accepts the job.
