My Review

Is there anything better than a yummy second chance romance?! How about a delicious slow burn with a side of groveling hero and several good ‘ol helpings of hate to love/angst.  ALL.OF.THAT and more is what you are in for with Garnet Flats. So good y’all. I have loved every single book so far in the Eden’s series and frankly couldn’t wait for Talia’s turn after the glimpses we’ve had of her in the previous books. Author Devney Perry did not disappoint with Talia and Foster’s heart wrenching journey back together after seven years apart and a lot of bitterness, hurt, lies, and misunderstandings.

Garnet Flats is an emotionally gripping tale about a young woman finding her forever person only to have him marry her closest friend instead. That life changing, unforgettable kind of love that when lost you never fully recover from. Oh the devastation your first true broken heart leaves you with, I’m sure most of us remember it well. I know I do. I dove right into this unique twist on the, left me for my best friend trope, and devoured every word of this within a day, as it brought me right back into my feels of first loves, first heartbreaks, and lessons in forgiveness in relationships.

Talia Eden loved her college sweetheart Foster more than anything. She saw her entire future with him. Then in a devastating blow he shocked her by marrying her best friend and roommate. Seven years later he shows up freshly divorced and ready to make amends and win her back. But if he thinks finally telling her why he did what he did will just easily wipe the slate clean, he is in for a rude awakening. Talia is still hurt, and quite frankly straddling that thin line between love and hate.

Getting Talia back may be the hardest fight he’s ever taken on. But he’s ready, heart in hand, to jump into the ring and fight it out until he emerges the victor. He’s not looking for a belt, nor a title. He only wants her. He knew whatever anger she threw his way was absolutely his fault and he was ready to own it. He wanted to lay it all out there on the line, while also helping her to remember just how good it used to be between them. He knows he still loves her, and he’s sure hoping she feels the same. Well anger isn’t the only thing causing the heat to rise between these two. 

Everything about Talia and Foster had me hooked from the very beginning. From being back in Quincey, to scenes with Eden’s from the past books in the series. Which is awesome because I am never going to want to part with this series. I will go back for a total series reread at some point for sure. This book broke my heart just as much as it healed it. This standalone with interconnecting characters told in alternating dual POV’s is a great addition to the series. You can start with Garnet Flats or start at the beginning with Juniper Hill today. I already can’t wait for the next book, Jasper Vale.

My Review

Kaylee Ryan has done it again my book lovin’ friends. Dropped right in with another one of her perfectly delicious, sweet, and fantastically swoony stories that make you feel all ooey gooey and fluttery inside. Never With Me is Ramsey and Deacon’s remarkably heartfelt journey that will have you feeling good, maybe a little frustrated a couple of times, and a whole lotta love for ALL the characters in this book. From the very first time they saw each other they had undeniable instant chemistry and an instant connection, making this a super flirty, fun, and definitely a fan yourself because it’s so freaking hot, tale of love.  It just further cemented to me why this author IS and WILL REMAIN one of my one-click favorites for steamy, dreamy, feel-good romances.

One of my favorite things about this author’s works is how big family plays a part in her books/series. You can’t help but to want to be a part of these stories. To be friends or a cousin or someone because I want to be at a family cookout or something hanging out with all these awesome people. One thing is for certain,  I am always up for being swept away into the magical book worlds that author Kaylee Ryan has created. 

Ramsey Rammed Her Way right into my heart from page one with her emotional backstory. From the first paragraph of the prologue I knew this woman deserved so much more than she had ever been given before. She needed to be loved wholly, completely, unequivocally. I love how coming to Willow River was her new start and she was ultimately able to find everything she needed to heal the parts of her that had been cracked and broken by the ones who were supposed to take care of her when she was younger. She found her people. She finally had a true loving support system.

When a favor to her introduces her to, Deacon the drop dead gorgeous older brother of her best friend, Palmer. Instantly attracted but hesitant for several reasons Deacon seriously has his work cut out for him if he wants to wear her down and get her to give him a chance. Not only is he older but also the workaholic brother of her BFF, but he has to penetrate walls of protection put up to protect the heart of a woman that has been hurt and does not trust or intend to ever depend on a man again.

My heart just bled for them both. I love the personal growth her character went through in this book. The way she grew more confident in voicing what fears she had, the things she had been through. The way she opened up. She was already strong but with his backing she was even more so. GAH!! She did good Y’all!

I am definitely Devoted to Deacon. While he may be a workaholic because he has goals that include taking over the law firm where he works when the partners retire. Up to this point he really hasn’t had any drive to find a girlfriend because that would just occupy time he could devote to working instead. But holy moly ladies, he’s a total sweetheart.

He’s sexy and everything about him is the stuff book boyfriend dreams are made of. A successful lawyer who loves his family, is patient, supportive and kind, plus knows how to throw down in pound town. Can I get a HELL Yeah?! Y’all, I would beg this man to allow me the pleasure of hand washing his skivvies after cutting the grass at 3:00 pm on the hottest day in July. Lol Okay so maybe not really dirty laundry because TBH I have seven kids and do enough laundry, but I’m sure there are other ways I could lend a helping hand. 😏

Pretty Please with a Cherry on Top, any wish would be my command. Deacon just did it for me guys. 

This author writes the swooniest of heroes. So henceforth I shall refer to him as  “Deacon the Delicious.”  When you read this you will completely understand why. 

Never With Me is a stand-alone story told in alternating POV with elements of many different tropes. Fans of my best friend’s brother, age-gap, and small town. There is an instant connection and chemistry but we get to see the relationship build and grow as well. This book,   the setting, all the secondary characters kept me engaged and loving every minute.

I am really pumped because this book introduced us to Ramsey’s cousins,  the Kincaid brothers whose stories we will be getting in a new Kincaid Brothers Series, which will feature each of the nine brother’s in his own book. I AM SO EXCITED! Make sure you grab your copy of Never With Me today and fall in love with Ramsey, and Deacon. Get ready for a little kickstart introduction to the hotness that is the Kincaid boys. HAWT DAMN **fans self**

My Review

My friends, FAME is FANTASTICALLY FABULOUS!! It’s MAGICALLY MARVELOUS!! I’m gonna calm down and stop yelling at you in shouty CAPS. 

But in all seriousness this book y’all. Molly McAdams once again proves why she is one of my absolute favorite authors. She is a must read everything she writes, plus owns every ebook, and signed paperbacks too. It doesn’t matter the genre or trope I know going in that with this author’s work I’m in for a story that will be profound and positively unforgettable. A story that is sure to weave itself through my mind, heart and soul and leave a little piece of itself behind. A story I felt so deeply that I will think back on it for years to come. As I still do with pretty much all of her books I have read thus far. (I will go to my death bed still feeling Taking Chances)

Trust me when I tell you Fame is a story like no other. Jensen and Mia are two imperfect humans who just happen to be perfect for each other. Bringing you the best by giving you a little taste of everything, this sinful and sexy romance is slap full of secrets, lies and mystery. Not skimping on the angst, steam, banter, tension, and a good ‘ol swoony and southern, Georgia bred country boy to come in and make everything all better  (this Georgia girl might be biased but there’s nothing hotter than a GA boy) I promise this book has something for every reader. It will captivate you from paragraph one until the very last sentence. Not just a book but an unputdownable journey to unite two amazingly unique and inspiring characters who against any obstacles that may come between them truly belong together. But what to do when love is inevitable between two people and one is dang near ready to sprint in the opposite direction away from it?  Will love bring them together or will Fame tear them apart? 

Mia is really a special character. She is one of the most unselfish of heroines I have ever had the pleasure of reading, yet her circumstances broke my heart over and over again. Her strength and dedication to her family was commendable. How could you not fall in love with her story? This amazing woman who sacrificially suffered for those she loved most in the world. It was devastating and inspiring at the same time. The internal conflicts are gut-wrenching. But I was so immersed in this story I really felt her struggle and found myself battling the what would I do in real life?

I think her battles with the life she was forced into and its impact on her character as a person just made me love her more. She was a deeply loving character but as much love as she had for others she didn’t have it for herself. I wanted to be able to jump into the book and just hug her and tell her I see you. You are beautiful and I see you for who you are. I see you for why and not what you have to do. She was existing, getting by and surviving. But she wasn’t living. She wasn’t enjoying her life. Until she met Jensen. He brought life back into her. He made her feel things no one ever had. It put the carefully crafted walls she’d put up to hide her secrets behind at risk of crumbling down around her. But for the first time she began to think she finally found someone who might be worth the risk. But there is still so much he doesn’t know about her. What will happen when the truth comes to light?

“You don’t know what my greatest joy is or the worst moments of my life. You don’t know what I’ve done to survive.”

Jensen is deliciously swoony and without a doubt book HUSBAND material. I say husband because this man is better than a book boyfriend. Boy oh boy was he ever hot and so dreamy too y’all. 

He had been burned in the past and that had an impact on him. He certainly wasn’t looking for a relationship, but he was instantly drawn to the beautiful yet emotionally barricaded girl from the third floor of his new office building. Quickly he finds himself unable to resist the need to get to know and win this woman over. He knows it will be no easy feat but not one to give up; he sets out to win her over. He’s just so stinking sweet. He is caring and thoughtful. Successful but humble. Supportive and protective. Loving and kind. Gah! The way he was with her melted me into a puddle of goo y’all! I was a pile of jelly for Jensen. I could go on about him FOREVER! 

None of that matters because I hear you in songs. I see you when I close my eyes. I feel you in my veins.”

In closing let me just say this book will tug on your heart strings. It will move you. You will laugh, and cry. You will fan yourself, get frustrated, cry again, and swoon so hard. You will fall so hard for all these characters (old and new). The writing is so engaging you feel like one of the gang, a part of the story.  So vividly you feel like you share in the outrage, the excitement, the urge to smack a fool upside the back of his head and tell him to get it together.  Mostly I just wanna see everyone get all the goodness life has to offer.  But alas, I cannot actually be a part of the story and that is just the mark of a truly talented author, the fact that they make you forget that you aren’t. This author does this to me. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! 

Jensen and Mia’s breathtakingly remarkable journey is not one to be missed. It is the final standalone (with crossover characters) in the Secrets in L.A. series and told in dual POV. You can read the entire series for FREE in Kindle Unlimited. My Review

Oh my book lovin’ friends do I have a fantabulous book rec for y’all. The Devil You Know by Elizabeth O’Roark is the next MUST READ book to pick up and devour ASAP. This third standalone book in the Devil series features Ben and Gemma’s story and once again has knocked the last book in the series right out of the top spot to become my new FAVORITE of this series. This was such a great combo of so many of my favorite things that I could not read this fast enough. This is enemies to lovers, work place, boss/employee, secret romance perfection. It has an idyllic amount of angst, delicious spice aplenty and banter for days.  

Ben Tate and Gemma Charles are both Lawyers at the same firm. Gemma is sassy and fierce. She has goals and works extremely hard because she wants to be the first woman at the firm to be made partner. Gemma is beautiful and sexy but she has a good and caring heart, but like many successful women working hard to move up in the corporate world she is called names for her drive and determination. Often being referred to as cold or aloof. She just wants to make partner and meet the perfect romcom worthy guy and get her HEA. Is that too much to ask for? Ben is drop dead gorgeous, and everyone loves him. Everything about him grates on every last nerve Gemma has. He is a partner at the firm, so technically her boss. When the firm gets the case that could make her career, who else is assigned to work side by side with her but the man she loathes more than any other. Of.frickin.Course!!

 I fell head over heels for Ben Tate. He may have come across as a big ‘ol weiner 🌭 at first but he quickly changed this gals mind. He was whitty, sarcastically charming, smart, the absolutely ideal amount of addictingly alpha and possessively protective. He took charge when needed but didn’t take over. He would fight for Gemma while still allowing her to fight for herself. He is without a doubt book boyfriend goals. It’s gonna take some big feets for someone to fill his shoes in my current man spot. Even days later I find my thoughts drifting back to him and Gemma and their phenomenal chemistry. 🔥🥵🔥

I love this book so much. This workplace/enemies to lovers romance just hit different. The emotion, the heat, the feels. Oh My Heart, the feels. These characters are unforgettable. From their “banter o’hate” to the smexy tension ready to burst, the breaking down of their walls, to when they finally start to realize what they hadn’t noticed before.  *Chefs Kiss* 💋

This is FOR SURE a book ( like the other two in the series) that I will be going back to for a reread. FIVE it’s FREAKING FANTASTICALLY FLABBERGASTING STARS!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My friends. I am absolutely cuckoo for Clay and Giana!🥰 I happen to love this take on a new adult/sports romance, which is a pretty common trope right now. Author Kandi Steiner attacks Clay and Giana’s story with gusto, giving us two extremely loveable characters that instantly captured my heart. With an attention grabbing storyline from the get go you will be instantly addicted to all things Giana and Clay. Y’all ready for this? Because this is a little bit sweet, a little bit swoony, and whole lotta sexy. Pearl Clutchers get ta clutchin’ because this is the 🔥HOTTEST 🔥virgin heroine romance this girl has ever read!🥵

Clay is still reeling from a shocking and unexpected dumping courtesy of his highschool sweetheart when he happens to notice the awkwardly adorable yet kind of hot Public Relations Coordinator for his team is losing it a bit over the musician at the place where they are having a business meeting. He immediately comes up with an idea. He can help Giana get the musician’s attention and she can help him make his ex jealous. Win Win.They form a plan. They make rules. They begin their lessons Then O-M-G! The lessons, I couldn’t get enough of the lessons. (Fanning myself just think about them) Giana has a special request of her own. These two are fun, flirty, so freaking hot together. The lines quickly start to blur. Is it possible this fake relationship is becoming real?  But the times when they talked and learned about each others growing up. My Review

Oh hot dog!! I am so digging Perry and Charlotte and couldn’t wait to get more of their story after we left off at the end of The Reluctant Bride. Luckily The Ruthless Groom, book 2 in the Arranged Marriage trilogy, picks right up where it left off. I was just as drawn into this second installment of Perry and Charlotte’s trilogy as I was the first. I will say this story is packed full of delectably dirty scenes, engaging storyline and fantastic characters. 

This book finds Perry and Charlotte reaping the benefits of their arrangement and giving into their explosive chemistry. But a blast from Charlotte’s past brings out a more jealous, possessive, and distrustful side of Perry we hadn’t seen before. I would say we’re for sure seeing Winston Constantine’s brother and the son of Caroline Constantine. He may have some struggles but he’s super protective and territorial over what is his, and his new wife is his in every way. 

How will Charlotte and Perry navigate their growing feelings while also battling distrust towards each other? I loved seeing deeper into these characters.  As the layers are being peeled back, and as they are beginning to question if their arranged marriage could have the potential to be more than either of them could have ever imagined. 

Y’all! Protective Perry is Positively Perfect! Even when he is frustrating me, I’m obsessed with him. These two are like the seventh circle of hell hot. They go at each other when they are mad and each can give as good as they get. They are angry at their situation at the lack of control they have over their own lives. But either way they are fantastically explosive together. I find myself wondering when I turn to the next page will there be fighting or you know… 😏

This book has tons going for it but it ends on a jaw dropping cliffhanger. You MUST read The Reluctant Bride before reading this book. Neither is super long but they are addictive so trust me when I say you will plow right through them. Here are just a few things you can expect from The Ruthless Groom.

Holy Slow Burn Deliciousness y’all!! Hey, Mr. Marshall, book 4 in the St. Mary’s Prep series is here and it is unforgettable, unputdownable, and absolutely delectable. This enemies to lovers, guardian/ward, principal/student story may be slow burn but it sure sucks you in from the very first sentence until the last. It will have you hanging on every single word as you run the gamut of feels in this angsty and emotional tale. 

From the day Poe Blyton met her new guardian, Alaric Rule Marshall she has hated him. He is cruel and heartless. He sent her away from the boy she loved to St. Mary’s school after all. Now he has taken a position as the new principal and held up her graduation for the summer. She doesn’t understand why he hates her so much that he wants to make heer as miserable as possible but she is determined to find out. I love Poe’s sassiness and badassiness. Really I just love her overall vibe. She is so loving and caring with her friends. She is talented and generous. She guarded because of her past and once you start learning more about her you can’t help but want her to have everything amazing life has to offer. She deserves the best kind of book HEA there is. 

Alaric is so aloof and glacial at times. I just had to know what happened to make him this way. I really liked how the story unfolded and we got more and more of the history behind why he is the way he is and holy cow… my poor heart. 

Ms. Kent put me through so many stages of feelings with this book. I would be sad for Poe and Alaric’s characters, then giddy from their banter, then frustrated, then devastated, and then panting because it was so flipping hot. I felt all the feels. I could not put it down. I devoured every single word. This story has a dual POV. We get more chapters from Poe’s POV But I love that we get some chapters from Alaric’s too. I really like getting to be in their heads while they are struggling with developing feelings for one another and what to do or not do with those feelings. 

The banter in this book was all kinds of sinful and mesmerizing. Alaric may have been struggling to come to terms with how wrong his feelings for her were but when he lost control of his mouth… GOOD GAWD!! 😳 He’s dirty mouthed AF and I’m here for every single filthy word. When they finally did “throw down” it was hotter than late July down here in my neck of the woods. (Georgia aka. The Dirty Dirty South) 🔥🥵🔥

I am super excited because of the little nugget of a teaser the author gave us for the next book to come. I’m jonesing for it already.

My Review

OMG!! Y’all this book was SO GOOD. I mean a twin sister’s BFF/friends-to-lovers/secret baby romance. Heck yeah.🤩  I was all about this book. It was just what I needed in my life right now. I get in kicks where I read a LOT of dark romance and I have been in one lately, but I absolutely need to break up the dark at times and Kaylee Ryan is one of my go to favorites. You just can’t help but to fall head over heels for this author’s characters. Her heroes are the trifecta. Swoony, sweet and oh so smexy. 🔥 Her heroines are fun and flirty and I would most definitely be friends with them all IRL. 

Misconception is Hudson and Riley’s story and part of the Coming Home Series. Which is a fabulous series, so if you haven’t checked it out yet I highly recommend doing so. Each story is a standalone. Anywho…

For years Hudson and Riley have secretly harbored feelings for each other. They run in the same circle of friends and are always around each other. My Review

So Not Meant To Be is the journey to love for JP Cane and Kelsey Gardner, who also happen to be the younger siblings of Huxley and Lottie from A Not So Meet Cute. This laugh out loud romantic comedy is a mixture of so many great tropes. It’s an office, forced-proximity, enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, billionaire romance with plenty of feels and steam. I couldn’t get enough of the banter between our main characters and in typical Meghan Quinn fashion she gives us everything from knee slapping kinda hilarity to heart and kindle melting moments as well as having moments that will have you hanging on every angsty word.   

Kelsey is our beautiful heroine that believes in love and HEA’s. So much so she hosts a podcast where she interviews couples happily in love about their meet cutes and I love it.🥰 There are couples previously introduced to us in this author’s other works, so it was great to check back in with some of our favs. Kelsey is a business owner who is trying to grow her business and her brand. This brought her to working for the Cane’s brothers, where JP Cane is her boss. They both obviously have an attraction to each other, but from what she knows (thinks) he is a total playboy and she is looking for something REAL. 😞 Kelsey spends a lot of this book making assumptions about JP that inevitably cause them both to miss out on what could be a great thing, but that is also where we get all that great banter and tension mounting between these characters so it needed to happen this way. Kelsey also really struggles with some insecurities and such so she needed someone to truly help her see herself the way others do, and JP was the perfect person for that job. ♥️

I absolutely love JP Cane. He is sweet, swoony, and smexy perfection with a heart of gold. He loves his family and has a soft spot for pigeons.  I love that he has this sensitive and vulnerable side to him. His character melts my heart as much as he breaks it because I feel like I am right there with him. 🥺 When he gets down I absolutely volunteer to kiss him 💋 and make everything all better. He was also dealing with his own stuff from the past so I feel like they were able to help each other break past emotional barriers that would have prevented them from long term relationships in the past. 

I really was impressed how this author incorporated so many secondary characters into this book. It fit flawlessly within the storylines and didn’t just feel like character name dumps. I really hope we get Breaker Cane’s story soon. If you are a fan of this author’s work check out So Not Meant To Be. I read this book super fast because I didn’t want to put it down. My word y’all! I knew another cliffhanger was probably coming because this IS a three book series but honestly, I was.not.ready for this cliffy!!🤯😱 Don’t worry, book three isn’t too far off. Thank goodness. 🖤🖤🖤

Thief is the second full length book in the Loxley Prep series and must be read after Traitor as it picked right up where Traitor left us hanging on edge. This book unravels further into what actually went down at Camp Capitree. Unfolding between past and present, I was absolutely captivated by the whole premise of Camp Capitree and all the evil that went down there. IRL, I can’t imagine the long term trauma a place like that would have on still developing children and teens. 💔 This is why I’m a foster parent. But as far as Thief goes, I love how this author writes the events and storyline surrounding Camp Capitree.

 I really like how slowly we are getting to know more and more about the complexity of these characters. I love them as individuals and as a group. While she’s made a lot of progress with some, she’s got some more work with others. This is not an easy just kiss and make up journey. 

I know I’m being somewhat vague but that’s entirely on purpose as I think these books are better to go in blind. The jaw dropping experience is that much better when you have no idea what’s coming your way. 😉 🤯😱

With lots of slow burn deliciousness. Plenty of secrets, twists, turns and even more questions. My mind is whirling y’all! 🌪 You will once again be left chomping at the bit for the next book which I am anticipating wrapping up this storyline for us and leaving us perfectly satisfied with all our questions wrapped up perfectly with a bow. ( fingers crossed 🤞🏻)
