“The queen of enemies-to-lovers strikes again. I devoured every page, hooked on the sizzling chemistry between Hunter and Sailor. A ten star read.” –Parker S. Huntington, Wall Street Journal bestselling author
The Hunter, an all-new compelling and must-read contemporary romance from USA Today bestselling author L.J. Shen is available now!
Boston’s debauched elite is going up in flames, and it’s the Fitzpatrick family that set it on fire.
I didn’t mean to star in a sex tape, okay?
It was just one of those unexplainable things. Like Stonehenge, Police Academy 2, and morning glory clouds.
It just happened.
Now my ball-busting father is sentencing me to six months of celibacy, sobriety, and morbid boredom under the roof of Boston’s nerdiest girl alive, Sailor Brennan.
The virginal archer is supposed to babysit my ass while I learn to take my place in Royal Pipelines, my family’s oil company.
Little does she know, that’s not the only pipe I’ll be laying…
I didn’t want this gig, okay?
But the deal was too sweet to walk away from.
I needed the public endorsement; Hunter needed a nanny.
Besides, what’s six months in the grand scheme of things?
It’s not like I’m in danger of falling in love with the appallingly gorgeous, charismatic gazillionaire who happens to be one of Boston’s most eligible bachelors.
No. I will remain immune to Hunter Fitzpatrick’s charm.
Even at the cost of losing everything I have.
Even at the cost of burning down his kingdom.

“Why?” I asked, blinking at him in confusion. I had two left legs and the coordination of roadkill. I couldn’t dance if my life depended on it. I’d tried dancing at the only party I’d ever gone to—sophomore year—and was subjected to such thorough humiliation. People took videos of me dancing and forwarded it to half my school. Saggy Sailor, they’d graffiti-ed on my locker. Apparently, my back looked hunched and droopy when I danced. “Because…” He tilted his chin down, his voice low, smoldering. “You’re obviously bored, and my family is watching us, and I’m partial to fondling you.”“It’s the dress,” I muttered.“I’d actually prefer fondling you out of it.”I sliced my gaze sideways, noticing that Aisling and Persy hadn’t picked up on my exchange with him. They were now watching a video, probably of the reality show they were arguing about. Even though Hunter was just after a friendly dance to show his family we were getting along, I couldn’t unglue my butt from my chair. “No fondling.” I crossed my arms over my chest, buying time.“No promises. Get up.”“Did you tell anyone we live together?” I accused, my eyes narrowing into slits. He stared at me, wide-eyed, mouth parted. “Negatory.”“Did you tell anyone we were dating?”“This is the lamest twenty-questions game I’ve ever participated in. No.”“Well, people are talking about us.”“That’s what people do. They fill the air with useless words to entertain each other. It’s called gossip, and it sucks all the asses in the world. Doesn’t mean it was me. Our building employs more than a hundred people. All of them work for my father. That means he’s spreading whatever the hell he wants to spread.” About LJ ShenL.J. Holy Wow! Brittainy C. Cherry does it again! She put my heart through the wringer with Jax and Kennedy’s story y’all! This story of two devastatingly broken people that in each other find each find love, healing and new beginnings.
Kennedy is a beautiful person inside and out, but she is emotionally damaged. Emotionally decimated by an unimaginable tragic event then the person she needed the most turned their back on her, hurt her and tossed her aside like garbage. Needing to begin to heal the emotional trauma and find herself again, she heads to Havenbarrow, Kentucky to stay in one of her sister Yoana’s houses. While exploring she meets the town’s black sheep. Who also happens to be the hot, broody and rude owner of the property she wanders onto while out on a walk in the woods. As grumpy and short with her as Jax is, Kennedy can’t help but to be drawn to him and the familiar look in his eyes, he just had this way about him to calm her when she was panicking.
“Even behind the rain clouds, the sun is always there.”
Ignoring the warnings by the nosy nellies of this small town, Kennedy catches herself noticing Jax is more than the reputation that follows him around town. She’s intrigued and wonders if maybe Jax is just what she needs and vice versa. I loved her character. I was devastated for her and rooting for her and Jax to heal each other. Man, how I cried over and over during this book, because I loved Jax and Kennedy and what they had endured was just so gut wrenching.
Jax was the tragically damaged bad boy. Forever emotionally unavailable, but secretly had a heart of gold. I loved this complexity of his character. There were so many layers to what made this amazing man. The circumstances behind what made him the way he was, oh my heart y’all! This poor man suffered in silence and guilt for fifteen years.
Even though he was angry at first glance when he caught Kennedy there was something familiar about her he couldn’t quite put his finger on. I loved how they rediscovered all the old feelings.
“You were my sun,” he said. “After your letters stopped, the world became that much darker.”
His friendship with Connor was hilarious and helped to break up some of the seriousness and sadness in the book. I floved Connor. Actually I loved all the secondary characters. Crazy Joy and even the nosy town ladies. It was indicative of small town life and added a great element to Kennedy’s frame of mind and showcased the ups and downs she went through in her steps towards healing.
This book is most definitely an emotional journey. Both of our mains are flawed and heartbroken and have been through hades and back. But I believe it’s their imperfections that make them perfect for each other.
Don’t miss this highly emotional friends to lovers/second chance romance.
My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- This emotionally gripping and riveting book was so much more that I could have imagined it to be. I cried a lot😭, I laughed a lot too🤣(Connor and Crazy Joy, you guys da bomb yo😘)
I rooted for these two. This was a journey. The characters we got in the beginning were not the characters that left us, I love when that happens. So Good Guys! ♥️
🔥🔥🔥🔥-sweet and hot and absolute perfection !!
🌪Cliffhanger Warning-🌪🌪No Cliffhanger! This was super emotional, I cried so many times because I loved these characters and felt right along with them, but I couldn’t be happier with the way this ended for them! Here’s hoping we getConnor’s story! 🤞🏻 #PerfectEnding!😍
Excerpt Kennedy Joy Jones was quite the character to take in. That morning, when the sun came up, she walked outside to her front porch and sat down in her rocking chair with a smile on her face and a large cup of coffee. A few of my nosy visitors told me that it was a daily routine for her. Her silver-dripped hair was tossed up in a messy bun being held together with two knitting needles, and her thick-framed, vibrant-orange glasses sat on top of her head. She wore a vibrant bow in her hair that matched her dress for the day, and she always greeted everyone who passed by her house, even when they didn’t speak back to her. Everyone in town called her Crazy Joy, even though she was the kindest person. Her only odd quirk was that she never left her property. I wondered how she managed, though. I wondered how she kept living without stepping foot outside of her home. It seemed she hadn’t any children and she didn’t have a caregiver who came to aid her, from what I could tell. Later that morning, my questions were answered as a blue pick-up truck pulled in front of the house. Needless to say, my jaw dropped to the ground when I saw Mr. Personality step out of the vehicle. He walked his way straight toward Joy’s front porch with his arms filled with grocery bags. He proceeded to greet Joy. She stood from the rocking chair as he set the bags down on the porch. Then, he hugged her. He hugged her! I wouldn’t have thought someone as grumpy as Mr. Personality had the ability to hug someone. The two of them walked inside to put the groceries away, leaving me completely baffled and unable to return to my scheduled reading. It took a lot to break me away from a book. And by ‘a lot,’ I meant a lot. My house could’ve been on fire, aliens could’ve beamed me up, and I would’ve still been trying to get in that one last page. When my own love story was broken, I turned to story books to heal the cracks of my broken heartbeats. When my world fell apart, the story books still believed in happily ever afters. Those books saved me on the days I felt my soul falling victim to the hardest of storms. Yet, Mr. Personality pulled me away from the words against the page. He made me curious about him walking into Joy’s house. Watching him chat away with her had my mind racing. A few minutes later, when the two of them walked back outside with two glasses in their hands—one with wine, the other with some dark liquor—whiskey, I assumed—I couldn’t stop myself from glancing over to them. Joy kept talking, and Mr. Personality kept responding. Even though I couldn’t hear what they were saying, Joy looked beyond smitten with whatever was being said her way, which forced my own heart to skip a few beats. Well, I’ll be damned. The town’s asshole made me swoon.

Purchase: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books | Eden Books
I had it all.
Family. Career. A future.
Until a couple of bikers took it brutally away from me.
They scarred me both inside and out, killing the man I once was.
Jared Koynakov is dead and Koyn rose from the ashes.
Ten years later, I live by a code that is shaped by hate, anger, and revenge.
As prez, I’ve built a brotherhood of men who share the same thirst for vengeance and are loyal until the end.
Together, we will find those bastards and end them.
Every last one of them.
All it takes is one slip, and I almost have them in my grasp.
Until a pretty pageant girl, who looks far too much like my daughter, steps into the fray causing the ultimate distraction.
I must choose between my revenge and being her savior.
I’m one helluva biker with a taste for torture, but I’m an even better daddy…
K. Webster, I bow down to you!! This book, y’all. This incredibly dark and dirty and twisted book! Now I have read MC romances, but I have not read a tale like Koyn and Hadley’s story. EVER!
It is crazy twisted and sick and unique and I was blown away by Koyn’s ability to worm his way into my heart. There was almost two sides to Koyn. There is the Koyn of the past, before he endured the worst possible experience anyone could ever go through and then the Koyn of today. The one that lives his life with one ultimate goal, to serve up revenge on the one(s) that took everything from him. I’m not even really a fan of the “call me daddy” kinda romance books, but I totally didn’t mind it this on AT ALL. This book was that amazing. No lie. 😍🔥😍
Hadley’s character invoked so many emotions in me. She was sassy and beautiful. Yet, she was broken and at the same time strong. She had been through unimaginable things. But she made it through and made it out. She got herself caught up in a rough and dangerous world by choice. Because it was preferable to her pampered pretty princess life with the devastatingly disgusting secrets kept behind closed doors. Doing her best to go as unnoticed as possible in the previous club won’t work for her after the events that led her to Koyn’s compound.
I don’t want to give too much away but the push and pull between her and Koyn, Holy GAH!! He’s drawn to her because she reminds him of his daughter. She views him as anything but a father. A Dirty Daddy, Yes! Delicious!! My heart melted and broke for him at the same time. I understand why he was the way he way towards Hadley, but then when he made a decision he did, it literally gutted me along with her.
His loyalty to his guys, his drive. It was hot. This man was broken and scarred, bit inside and out. He had a depth to him though. You could see glimpses of the man he used to be. Before he lost everything. His character was tortured and complex and I loved him.
The guys in Koyn’s club are some of the most sick and twisted, yet they are loyal and I’m drawn to them. I want all their stories.
I just know there is some special “old ladies” out there that will bring these rough yet sinfully hot, hog driving’ men to their knees! If you think you’ve read some nasty, just wait till you take a little trip to the slaughterhouse and see the Royal Bastards MC gang serve up a side of revenge in ways that only they can. It’s crazy insane. And I Floved Ever.Single.Second!
⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️- I’m officially OBSESSED with all things RB MC . I went through all the emotions in this book. It was so full of action, suspense, angst, sex, hear, banter, blood, tears, live, loss, revenge, and redemption! I can’t wait for more with the rest of the club members stories! This book was raw and gritty and phenomenal. Grab it today!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥-OMG! HOLY HOT HELL. For as much as Koyn might have tried to avoid it happening it was inevitable. He and Hadley and he were beyond all things imaginably hot! The were explosive and forbidden and just straight up Yummy! Sexy scenes were off the charts hot!
🌪Cliffhanger Warning- This has a HEA , but sets us up for the stories of other club members from other chapters from all over. I can’t wait! 😍
🔫 Trigger Warning-This book is a MC romance and does have some scenes that could be considered triggers for some. It also deals with some serious and sensitive content that could be disturbing to some. Some of the scenes are fairly graphic. If you have concerns you can PM for more information.

Not cool, Mom.
I‘ve spent most of my life answering to Teddy, because I couldn’t make Theo work.
Except for here. College. The place where all bets are off, and I’ve managed to redeem myself.
There’s only one problem, my new roommate, Troy, is football royalty and looks like he stepped off the set of an Abercrombie shoot.

And anyway, this year I got the girl. And she’s perfect.
That’s right. Theodore Houseman, former band geek, now marching band rock star has finally landed the girl of his dreams.
Everything is perfect.
That is, until Troy takes a good look at her.
