My Review

Holy freaking heartbreak and heartmelting happy every afters! Not what I expected was just that. I didn’t know exactly what I was going to get into going in. It was totally different than what I thought. But it was SO amazing. Elsie and Kael where just phenomenal. Elsie was at this emotionally critical and pivotal moment in her life and she was struggling. Y’all I cried! So so much. I loved Elsie’s character and my heart just broke for her. Her struggles were so understandable and she when finally spoke up for herself she felt like it led to disaster. She is overwhelmed by guilt and the consequences of her actions.

So she sets out to pick up the pieces of their life and hold herself, her family  and everything else together. Then Kael Hendricks comes to town. This sexy young entrepreneur with the weird vegetable name challenges her in so many ways. They have this delicious banter and he is completely unapologetically who he is, and that is both sexy and infuriating. But he also happens to be everything Elsie needs to light her dimmed fire. He is younger, which she doesn’t quite know how to deal with. But he is kind of alpha and swoony and turns every head in town. They have this incredible journey and it’s emotional and riveting and funny and witty. Kael is charming and gorgeous and he is perfect for bringing life back to Elsie. 

This contemporary reverse-age gap, small town romance will make you laugh, cry, fan yourself and swoon. Elsie and Kael are just perfect. I needed him to fix the devastation Elsie was shouldering. Jewel E. Ann knocks it out of the park again. I could not get enough of the truth bombs in the church support group and the small town where everyone knows everything about everyone. All The ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
