The Backup Plan Release Blitz
Backup Plan by New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author, Emily Goodwin is now live!
When we were only kids, Sam Harris and I made a promise we’d marry each other if we were still single when we turned thirty. Well, my thirtieth birthday has come and gone and I’m still as single as ever.
And as far as I know, so is Sam.
But it’s been ages since we’ve seen each other, and after what he did to me our senior year of college, I wouldn’t put his ring on my finger even if he begged me to marry him. Never mind his devilish good looks. Or the fact that the playboy partier is a doctor now.
Nope, I’m sticking to my guns with this, and when I go back to my hometown of Silver Ridge for the first time in years, I won’t pay him the slightest bit of attention. Well…until he convinces me to go out for drinks to catch up. I knew it was a bad idea the moment I agreed to it.
And then he brings up our childhood promise.
It might be fun and games to him, but it’s not to me. Because as much a I don’t want to admit it, Sam has always been my first choice. And I don’t want to be nothing more than his backup plan.
I get so excited every time a new Emily Goodwin book is coming out. We first “met” Sam Harris in Rock Bottom. I was sooo excited to hear that we would be getting a new spin off series for Rory’s sibling, Sam. So here we are with, The Backup Plan, Book one in the new small town Silver Ridge series. I will go ahead and let you know that this book does end on a frustrating cliffhanger and that I will be counting the days until we get book two. But Chloe and Sam… they are just Everything!
They started out as friends in high school. Of course she had the biggest crush on him and she was this beautifully awkward, writer with big dreams. She was picked on for that, but he never saw her as the weird girl, but he also didn’t notice that she wanted him either and when something happened and as a result she was hurt the last time they saw each other. Years pass before they see each other again.
As adults they are both smokin hot and funny and extremely attracted to each other. They have achieved their career goals but both are still single. When Chloe goes back home to Silver Ridge for a much needed trip home they hang out and can’t help but to realize they have this overwhelming chemistry with each other. When Sam brings up a long forgotten promise to each other Chloe can’t help but to be intrigued by the prospect of spending time with Sam.
This story is fun, and sexy and swoony. It’s got incredible banter and fantastic characters. It’s got that amazing small town, close-knit, everyone in the family is involved in everyone’s lives feel to it- that Emily does so well.
She captivates me every time, so well. I know for a fact that I’m going to fall hard and fast for her fictional families. I know I will quickly wish they were mine and that I could be sitting around at a family dinner with them. That is how much her stories draw you into them. It’s why I devoured The Backup Plan and I can’t wait for book two!
