My Review

Aiden “king of the school” King is the total alpha, the total bad boy you hate. But you know what? You’re totally all in love with all at the same time. He’s very complex and dark and so dangerously beautiful. There is just something about him that you’re drawn to. Maybe it’s the mystery surrounding him, definitely his good looks help. But one thing is for sure, he has set his sights on Elsa. He has this obsession with her, it’s depraved and dark and dominant. You do see bits a pieces of this almost caring guy mixed in at times, lurking just underneath that sinister smirk and plots of torture.

Elsa is essentially an orphan. Living with her aunt and uncle. She’s pretty , but not overdone and in a nerdy girl way. She just wants to fly under the radar and get through school. Aiden King put a target on her back on day one. She never understood why or what is was she did.

One of the things I loved about her was that she gave as good as she got. Aiden and Elsa could verbally spar like madd and it was HELLA HOTT!!! She wasn’t a pushover, much to his dismay. But her upbringing, man my heart hurt for her past. Then for some of these treatments she was receiving and sometimes I was like poor Elsa. Others I was like man, she is fierce! I love her!

Deviant King is NOT a stand-alone and I think we have barely begun to scratch the surface of the craziness that’s coming out way. I think there’s lots of mysteries still to uncover. Now, I’m not going to name anything specific as to not give any spoilers, but there’s some very odd pairings or “ friendships” and I’m curious to see how they play out and what comes of them. THAT CLIFFHANGER THOUGH! I really like the secondary characters. Elsa’s BFF, Kim and some of the Four Horseman. I can’t wait for more books in this series and hope we see lots more from them all.
